dm9831 (620), Monee, Illinois, USA Jul 12, 2008 pours hazy yellow, white head with nice lacing. nose of citrus, and wheat with a hint od banana. i found the banana in the flavor to be much too dominating. medium bodied with a hint of spice at the finish. relaxing summer brew, but not a favorite style of mine.
xnoxhatex (791), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 7, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Clear golden amber with small white head. Big wheat aroma with yeast and some spice. Yeast and wheat flavor upfront with spice, a little cloying. Medium body with medium carbonation. Too sweet. holdenn (1161), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 14, 2008 On tap at the Station on 7/10/08. I’m glad I got to try this before it was gone. Pours a clear golden orange. Nose of banana, sweet malts, and a touch of creamy wheat. Light spritzy body. Lemons dominate with bananas and clove in the finish. Too much bananas in the flavor and lacking much that is interesting. Ok beer. drewbeerme (1840), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 10, 2008 on draft at FS. pours hazy with golden white head. nose is yeasty and lemony. flavor is wheaty, lemon, banana, clovey finish. decent but nothing special. FlssmrBrewAlum (245), South Chicago Suburbs, Illinois, USA Jun 25, 2008 Poured on tap at the Brewpub. Pours a yellow hazy cloudy with a prominent eggshell white head that laces very well. Aromas are very citrusy, with a subtle touch of banana. Initial taste is very similar: Lemony citrus zest dominant over any banana feel with a light spiciness that is enjoyable. Smooth, refreshing, and a light bodied brew very nice for the warmer months. However, I prefer my hefes on the banana side. Either way, this was a good brew! I laugh at the fact that everyone’s score is practically the same.. but i rated this from my notes from the pub. "Spot on
Rating", you might say. Cheers!
