I’ve brewed this American IPA in the PNW style with loads of Chinook, Amarillo and Cascade hops.

Leafy, earthy, and grapefruit/citrus hops on top of some caramel malts and light butter. Pours murky light orange with frothy bubble head. Malty and buttery to an extent. This detracts to me because there is a really nice citrus and floral hop flavors that are nice and bitter. Hops end up winning out. Long leafy finish. Drinkability is high .

Hazy orange pour with white head on top. Fruity, sweet malt forward aroma. Seems like the hops are mostly gone in this one. Flavor is sweet with some decent hops. Glad it held up somewhat. Really wish stores didn’t let these sit on the shelves for so long.

This yellow waxed bomber is a big thanks to fishingnet! Pours copper with a bit of haze and gold edges. The aroma is chewy malts, citrus goodness and some pine hops. Yum. The taste begins with citrus orange and grapefruit and then leaning toward citrus and pine resiny hop bitterness. All these hop notes are backed up by a tasty sweet maltiness. Yum indeed. I could drink this all day.

Bottle courtesy of fishingnet. Poured amber with tan head. Loads of citrus and pine hops. Flavor is sticky hop sweetness and pine mixed with sweet malts. Finishes bitter.

Bottle, many thanks to fishingnet for sharing. Poured a medium amber color with a thick off-white head. Hops in the nose are nothing short of amazing, resinous and piny with citrus and grass notes. Medium bodied with a stick, viscous mouthfeel and good carbonation. Flavor is very fruity and floral with caramel and grain notes. Lingering bitter finish. Very nice.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Pre ZBF thanks to Urbs.
Dark golden brown with a thin off white head. Amazing hoppy aroma. Big bad and resinous yet aromatic and floral at the same time. The best of both worlds me thinks... Flavour is not quite so good but still excellent. Chewy, grassy and fruity with plenty of tropical notes. Dies off a little too quick in the finish, like it’s sneaking off with no clothes on. Still, bloody good beer.

On cask at DOLA. Pours a clear yellow orange with a soapy beige head. Aromas of caramel malts, floral hops, and citrus. Similar flavors with the citrus and floral coming out more. Not complex or really too different than their others. Lasting bitterness. Decent.

yellow wax bomber from flssmrbrewalum... hazy golden amber pour with a frothy bright white head. there is some drippy lacing and one big ring of pillowy foam where the head began. this smells really citrusy and juicy... flowers, caramel, grapefruit, orange pith, muted green hops and some faint pine. flavors of orange, honey, toffee/brown sugar/butterscotch, pine and almost too much sweet maltiness before i realize how hoppy it actually is! the aftertaste is juicy grapefruit flesh and and orange pith... it seriously dries off the palate and numbs the tongue. it is medium to full bodied with a creamy texture. the mouth feel is dry and prickly with dryness keeping the sugary feeling at bay...8/4/7/4/16/3.9

22oz from heliosphann - thanks, Scott! I reckon this is the second Flossmoor IPA I’ve had and it’s pretty freakin’ good. The yellow wax is tough to get off but the nectar within is rewarding. Somewhat cloudy orange pour with a delightfully frothy, So-Cal head. Lots of tropical fruits in the nose, with some scrumptious malts too. The flavor is initially similar to the aroma, full mouthfeel letting the fruits play around on the palate nicely. But there’s a dryness to the finish that gives a nice balance to the brew. Good stuff.
