3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes.
Pours amber with a light tan head and some sticky lace. The nose is pretty malt with some bread, and then there is quite a bit of citrus hops on top of that. The taste strikes more of a balance, but this is definitely a fairly hoppy red ale. Good feel with nice bitterness and body. Pretty good overall.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery, one of the highlights of a nice 12 sampler...Pours a dark copper with a light amber. The head on this makes the appearance, a awesome tope head with great retention and lacing that coats the glass the whole drinking experience top to bottom...The aroma is like a malty ipa, lots of caramel, with grass wet hops, its really appetizing...Taste is grass hops that have a fresh bite which is nice, maybe that bite is the rye. Very fresh and clean to hops, super fun and easy to drink.
A brew worthy of getting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nicely hopped for a red ale, with mostly dry hops so it was more astringent than aromatic. Copper color, no head but a little lacing. it had a slight licorice taste. Pretty good

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish-amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus and caramel malt. Medium body with flavors of moderately bitter hops, toasted malt and grapefruit. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at flossmoo: pours a rich amber, with a nice light off white head with nice retention and lacing. This brew smells of piney hop and light malt, flavors are very similar. this was far more robust than i could have expected. The hop and malt seem to blend fairly well with a little bitterness at the end. a nice brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a nice red brown color w/ an off white head and some nice sheets of lacing. It’s doesn’t look like anything special but is a good beer regardless. Mild roast character is nicely complimented by an assertive piny bitterness. Medium bodied w/ creamy carbonation, this is a well done amber. This style is often either just blandly malty or just an APA w/ some extra color. This plays the darker grain character off the hops and does so well.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Flossmoor Station pre-DLD.
Nice reddish-amber appearance with a small whitish head.
Aroma is rough citrusy and earthy hops along with a sweet malty backbone.
Flavor is similar to the aroma. Sweet caramel malt and a nice hop profile. Rough and citrusy, a little resinous.
Very nice mouthfeel, with hop oils and medium body.
Good for the style overall. Above average among the Flossmoor beers. Drinkable.
