Commercial Description:
This robust, dark brown ale gets its rich flavor from seven different malts and three types of hops. The addition of hand-toasted oats and a generous portion of molasses give the Pullman Nut Brown Ale an incredible smoothness and quaffability.

Fairly decent brown ale. Chestnut body, small tan head. Aroma was roasted nuts, caramel, mocha, and Whoppers. Medium body with smooth, sticky mouthfeel. Flavor was slightly sweet with a nice bitterness at the end.

Draft @ Flossmoor Station: Very dark brown color with a small beige head. Roasted malt aroma with a fair amount of chocolate and light ashey notes. The flavor matched with roasted malt and light ash. Also present were notes of chocolate and cola. Medium bodied.

This is an excellent example of an English Brown. The toasy malt character is amazing, I love that in a beer. Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a lacy off-white head. The beer itself has an amazing malt profile, with a great balance. This beer won first place in the Brown category at the World Beer Cup, so that tells you something. This is quite a beer. This is year round on tap at the brewery.

Pours to a very dark brown. Can’t see through it much at all except near the edges. The beer has a nice creamy tan head with a nice lacing. The aroma is soapy walnuts, oatsacks. The flavor is heavily walnuts, peanuts, molasses, raw oats. The palate is creamy, medium-full bodied. Pretty tasty for a nut brown.

unimpressive aroma. nice appearance. tastes like Hexnut. very nutty. warm temp brings out the alcohol mercilessly.

Tap at Flossmoor. Poured a very small off-white head that was mostly lasting, poor lacing, transparent, uncarbonated, and a reddish brown hue. Malty, nutty and hoppy aroma. Flavor was malty, roasty, nutty, and rich. Smooth palate. Light-medium body.
