Commercial Description:
This robust, dark brown ale gets its rich flavor from seven different malts and three types of hops. The addition of hand-toasted oats and a generous portion of molasses give the Pullman Nut Brown Ale an incredible smoothness and quaffability.

22oz. bomber, with thanks to HonkeyBra for the great bonus! Pours a clear dark brown with a large foamy tan head that lingers. Aroma is sweet malts, nuts, molasses, a light citrus hops. Flavor is lightly hoppy, with more sweet malts, nuts, and molasses. I’m not a huge fan of browns, but this is decent and drinkable stuff, thanks again Andy!

Cask at 3rd Manhattan Cask Fest: Pours a deep brown- not much light comes through- well retained tan head. Mild aromatics- some nutty notes and brown sugar. The body is nice and creamy with a great flavor. Very nutty with toasted crystal malt flavor and a solid but soft chocolaty caramel sweetness. There’s a mildly spicy hop character toward the back giving off some pine bitterness to balance. A very nice Brown Ale.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Very nice aroma of roasted malt, molasses, and nuts. Smooth flavor that blends together well and is a little sweet. I am not a fan of most brown ales, but I did enjoy this one. Great flavor.

22 oz bottle. Initially pours almost all foam, slowly recedes leaving huge tan craters. Nose is sourdough, chocolate pudding, brown sugar and stale dark roast. Sudsy body with sharp carb. Taste is espresso and grapefruit peel finishing metallic and ashy. Bubbly and bitter.

Thanks to TheEpeeist for picking me up a bottle in his Chicago trip.
Deep brown pour with a huge, gushing head. Nearly opaque in glass. Aroma of cereal, nuts, attic dust and molasses. Very dry taste. Dry, dusty, earthy finish. This doesn’t really strike me as a traditional brown. It’s kind of close to the duck-rabbit brown.

thanks to psprings for sharing this... pours a dark cola brown color with a small head which needed some help to get going. very rich aroma of chocolate, coffee nuttiness, a light lactic sourness, ash, caramel, earth (which i now know is the oats) and nearly metallic maltiness (metal dissipates). the flavor caught me off guard and i had to keep checking the label to make sure this wasn’t listed as an old timey porter... chocolate, ample amounts of roasty coffee, brown sugar, chocolate, ash, a touch of sourness similar to coffee and a plethora of floral hops on the finish which linger into the aftertaste to mix with coffee. the medium body leans on full but is in no way sweet or sticky. it’s very smooth and creamy yet a nice balance is made from ash and roasty bitterness. there’s something very familiar and comforting in this brew...8/4/8/5/18/4.3
