Flavor is smooth and smokey. A lot of roastiness, but also some nuts. Great mouthfeel. Easily one of the best Brown ales i’ve ever had. BVery (678), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Bomber from Archer Liquor. Pours a very dark brown with a smallish dark tan head. Aromas of dark malt, nuts and treacle. Full bodied with frothy carbonation. Flavor is treacle, dark roast malt, and some nuttiness. It’s bitter, and that seems to be from hop. Finishes a little gritty/dirty/earthy, a little coffee, and nicely nicely. What else can be said. It tastes good. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Even though my scores on this are accurate and well researched, ?Da Man? wants me to say more about the beer, so I will. Not a lot of pizzaze to this beer, average at best. michael-pollack (2763), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Bottle: Aroma of chocolate, malts, light roasting, bitter coffee, oats, molasses and grains. Poured very dark brown in color with a huge, fluffy, rocky, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malts, chocolate, nuts, oats, light roasting, light molasses, and a hint of vanilla. Medium to full body. Smooth, creamy, airy texture. Average to lively carbonation. Sweet, chocolate, nut, slight molasses, slight roasted finish is a tad chalky. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Weird, it gushed out on the 3rd pour. Pours a very dark brown with a large foamy beige head. Pretty nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, nuts and vanilla -- perhaps a bit of staleness as well. Flavour of toasted dark malt, light green hops, nuts and maple syrup. Average to medium bodied. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Overly carbonated but other then that quibble it’s quite good.
