4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at brewery. Deep golden with small head. After three mediocre samples, we have a winner. This is excellent. Mild body. Huge grapefruit and citrus. Light bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, garlicky hops. Flavor of grassy hops, garlicky hops, earthy hops, sweaty hops, with hop oils in the finish. Very hoppy and delicious.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft - Pine and vegative hops. Cloudy orange gold with a thin white head. Lots of pine and resin with a balanced bitterness with caramel. Basic, but well done.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Meh. Not that great. Standard appearance. Light nose. Overly malty and hopping to mild for an ipa. Ok taste but just not much of an ipa in my book. Also served warm at a temperature i would expect a stout.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Tap] Light orange colored pour with a small cap of head. Nose is of resinous hops and citrus rinds. Caramel malts, piney hops, dry grass, lemon notes and some floral hints in the flavor. Dry and bitter finish. One of the better beers I tried in the sampler.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap. Pours hazy orange, medium white head, dissipates quickly, good lacing. Aroma is light caramel, pine, not much going on here. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, not much going on here either, harsh finish. Medium body. Meh. I assume it was not fresh, but it is what they were pouring on tap...

In general this was a nice IPA. Smooth and balanced with a hop nose and good flavor throughout.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle. #847. (Friar Tuck) Springfield, IL.
Murky golden brown colour with a huge foamy off-white head.
Yeast, fruity and piney hops, mild bitterness and dill pickles in the aroma.
The flavour is a bit... off? Yeast, dark bitterness and mushy hoppiness.
Not exactly very enjoyable. Strange. I was looking forward to pop this one open...

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a clear orange/gold color with an off-white head. The aroma was very hoppy with some sweet malty notes. The taste was of piney hops and malts. It had a medium body. The finish was hoppy with a lingering citrus aftertaste. One of my favorites.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice citrus aroma up front. Then a good citrus and slightly piney taste. A good and not overwhelming after taste.
