Nice citrus aroma up front. Then a good citrus and slightly piney taste. A good and not overwhelming after taste.

22oz bottle 5/14/13 (Jewel Clearance Rack)-42° in Shaker-Pours a murky amber with a small white covering for a head. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste of hops, malt, and citrus. This medium bodied brew is nicely balanced and quite tasty.

Its a good one, smicoe and amarillo dominate the smell while it is a herbal yet citrusy flavor with a decent malt backing.

Draft. Earthy and floral hops with a good dose of caramel malt backbone. Nothing super special but quite drinkable.

bottle. The aroma is strong hops, some floral notes. The taste is super bitter upfront and lasts through the whole drink. Not a huge fan.

Bomber into my new glarus glass. Caramel and pine aroma. Pours murky amber with a lovely fluffy toasted marshmallow head. Good head retention on this beer. Taste is piney and tropical hops, brown sugar, and bready malt. Good bitterness on the front end, just enough sweet malt to keep it from being too hop-forward. Carbonation is soft. Great IPA. More of an English style IPA, the sweetness is almost ESB-like.

ROGUE (1581) - Newark, Delaware, USA - OCT 10, 2012
On tap at Brew Pub. Poured a copper color with a small white head. Aromas of big citrus and tropical fruit hops with some bready malts underneath Taste is hop forward with the fruit and citrus but not as much as aromas indicated. Much more balanced in the flavors with the bready malts. Medium body with decent carbonation; creamy mouth feel.

Darkover (1499) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Opaque orange color with a huge rocky head. Weak floral hop aroma with some sweet bready malts. Taste is very bitter and hoppy. Finish is very dry and bitter.

A-- Poured an orange amber color. Small bright white head that was at best a half a finger. Mostly film thought. Small carbonation bubbles showing from the bottom of the glass. Decent head retention on swirling and good rings of lacing. S-- Pungent pine, orange and grapefruit with a good malt backbone smell. Really like the smell. T-- Orange grapefruit, tangerine and butterscotch. Tasted nearly burnt though. Not a lot of bitterness in the taste. M-- Orange and grapefruit with a large amount of Carmel. Not a lot of bitterness with this. Quite smooth and creamy. Medium feel and carbonation. O-- Really liked the nose but the taste and feel were a bit short. A little too much malt for me. I thought closer to a bigger style APA than IPA. Guess that means I have more of a West Coast palate for IPA’s.

Bomber - dense hazy orange with a large head that dissipates to a lumpy foam. Has an earthy hop taste with a dry finish.
