3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 portableparty (1596) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle to snifter(Thanks DalzAle for picking this up!). Pours dark amber with a foamy off white head that fades to a thin film. Aroma is strong appricot and grapefruit with a sweet caramel. Taste is nice and fruity with a resinous and strong grappefruity bitterness and caramel maltiness. Palate feels full and sticky with a chaulky dry finish. Solid!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 nickd717 (3394) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Growler. Mostly clear light amber in color with some a small white head on top that leaves swirls. Piney resin aroma with some sweet malts and mild citrus. Sweet resinous flavor with some black tea, caramel, pine, grapefruit, and wood. Medium-full bodied, a bit too heavy with loads of resins lingering. Can’t say I enjoyed this all too much. Too malty in a bad way.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AWISLguy (665) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 5, 2011
On tap at Flossmoor Station. Pours golden orange with an off-white head. Some lacing. Somewhat cloudy. Aroma is citrus fruits and pine. Taste is syrupy sweet, resin, some bitter citrus fruit. Some malt but it is not a major player. Finishes medium length and quite bittersweet. Needs some more balance.

1. Look - A medium amber color IPA with a big beige head.
2. Sniff – There is a very nice nose and hop aroma present.
3. Sip – This IPA is a medium bodied ale with a lot of different flavors and tastes. Initially, there is a nice malty flavor followed with a dry piney and grapefruit taste.
4. Another Look – The beer looks good. The head is long lasting and the color is very appealing.
5. Evaluate – Overall, this big ale is very tasty. It has a delicate malty taste with a desirable dry bitter finish. This is a great IPA. I would absolutely recommend this IPA to my family and friends.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Strykzone (3813) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 19, 2011
Sampled at the brewpub. Hazy and light copper. A small head and thin lacing. The nose is soft floral hops with light citrus. The flavor begins with caramel and yeast but then those hops emerge with citrus. This is well done.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JRock72 (605) - - SEP 18, 2011
Bottle, whim series with no wax. Poured hazy light brown with medium head. Loads of citrus hops with hints of grapefruit. Not overly bitter. Very smooth.

Live rate @ Flossmoor Station. Slighty hazy 24 karat pour with a tangerine core. Razor this ivory head that dimishes to a ring but leaves splatters of lacing inside the glass. Aroma is subtle grapefruit, orange peel, spicy crushed black pepper, and caramel. Flavor is filled with citrus, candied orange, honey, and toffee. Starts out bright and finishes with malt that balances. Not a enamel peeler or tongue buckler but tasty none-the-less!
