COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our beautiful rendition of an American Mild. Delicious citrus and grassy nose out of a golden and hazy straw colored body. Recession Ale has a light mouthfeel but is probably the most flavorful beer you will ever have at only 3% a.b.v. The Chinook, Amarillo, and Cascade hops assert themselves but help you forget the economy is in the toilet.

Tastes like toasted grain, pine needles, and biscuits. Watery mouthfeel with a medium short finish. Amber colored and a but hazy. Weak offering. Why is this not a mild?

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2009 Draft at Flossmoor. Are we sure we don’t want this entered as a Mild? Just askin’. Hearty amber color is welcome for a lower alcohol beer. Holds a fine malty smell, big head of foam with good lacing. Taste is nice and malty, not sweet, like a light beer done right. American hop load build up to assert itself in the beer’s finish.

On tap @ Flossmoor Station. Sampled as part of a sampler. Not much here...smells of citrus and grass. Light in flavor and alcohol.

clear gold color, not much white head, lacy. aroma of citrus, mostly grapefruit, some lemon, hoppy. flvor of grain, wheat, sweat. medium bodied, light botter finish. like the recession we find ourselves in, a bit of a disappointment. but i’d drink this to feel better anyway. on tap at flossmoor station brewpub.

tap at flossmoor station... pours a slightly hazy golden orange brown wiath a thin soapy white head.... light citrus hops aroma, not too assertive and wasn’t expecting much...grassy/earrthy citrus hops up front with a somewhat odd tea like flavor in the finish. leaves a faint bitterness in the mouth. at only 3% i would be able to drink the crap out of this in the summer.

Draft at the brewpub. Reminds me a whole lot of Pride & Joy, being a light, golden, hop forward IPA. Nose is strictly grassy and fruity hops, some light pineapple and citrus notes accompanying the grass. Taste is much the same, thin body but would be great to sit and drink for hours on a hot Saturday afternoon. Pretty tasty stuff, though the grassiness my get to be too much...Nice.

on tap at FS. $2/12oz. pours hazy gold with white head. nose is fruity with citrus and grassy notes. flavors are grassy, pine, and citrus. hardly a malt body on this, it is really hop lopsided but this works as a great lawnmower beer.

On tap at the brewpub for the KK release. Pint served with a golden color, white, diminishing head and good lace. Nose was citrus, mainly grapefruit. The flavor was initially dry, a little light bread, the citrus and a touch of resin. Good hop bitterness and very light bodied. Worked well on one of the warmer days of the winter, but I need more alcohol to go along with my hop fix!
