A light beer that combines the tartness of wheat malt and raspberry. Light on the palate and pleasantly aromatic.

This poured a ruby red purple color with an off white head. Aroma was tons of sweet raspberries. Flavors were mainly sweet artifical raspberries, some wheat, and just unpleasant esters. not good.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear, amber/red, with a light, white head and average lacing. The nose was raspberry juice and candy sweetness. The flavor added some light malt and the raspberry exposed it’s tartness. Just a hint of dryness in the finish. My girl friend’s favorite for our visit, and, although not my favorite style, a reputable example.

Sample @ Flossmoor: This is very light and very sweet and sort of tastes like a cross between raspberry preserves and raspberry syrup. Not my thing at all.

Sample at Flossmoor Station. Pours a deep amber with no head. Aroma of Raspberry with a little bit of hop. Flavor is a bit too much like Raspberry pop, or soda, for those of you near the Atlantic. Not enough actual beer presence.

Objectively speaking: Intense fruit beer, very fleshy and juicy.
I like: They went beyond the call of duty in extraction fruit flavours for this one. Medium tartness annihilates the exaggerated sweetness potential. Expressive wheat base improves the refreshment further. Pretty light, hazy pink colour.
I dislike: It does not strike a sensible chord despite not being too sweet. The very active, very large-bubbled, biting carbonation detracts a bit from the enjoyment. You’ve got to be in the mood.

My girlfriend tried this and though it sucked. I tried it, and wondered why any brewery, other than new glarus of course, would brew a fruit beer. I mean, it’s alright. I wouldn’t have it again.

pours amber colored, slight off white head. nose of RASPBERRIES!!!!! flavor is creamy, milder raspberry taste than aroma suggests. sweet finish. i don’t like fruit beer, and this one doesn’t disappoint. at least it isn’t cloying.

Hazy amber/red with a white head. Big fruity raspberry aroma overpowers all else. Medium body and lightly carbonated. Flavor is a milder version of the aroma with raspberry juice and a hint of tart wheat. Typical overly sweet fruit flavored beer.

On tap at the Station. Pours a cloudy copper orange with a white head. Tons of raspberry and not much else. Raspberry fake sugar sweetness that is syruppy and cloying. Overly sweet and hard to drink. This one is for the ladies who don’t like beer.
