3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub: This had a pale yellow body, very lightly hazed, wiith a substantial, sustained head. The aroma had a grainy sweetness topped by drying grasses, a touch of zest, and a hint of flowers. The flavor was well balanced between malts and hops, tipping somewhat toowards the hoppy side. Very nice dry, bitter finish. A job well done by Mr. Shimkos.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler from brewpub. Pours hazy golden with white head. Aromas of grainy malts and fair amount of hops. Flavors of grain, pale malts, and nice hop flavor for a pils. Pretty drinkable brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale yellow w/ a foamy white head. I’m wondering if this is the bottom of the keg. It is quite hazy and almost looks like a wit, though that is partly influenced by the condensation on the glass. Mild floral hop nose w/ a bit of husky grain. This is very bracingly bitter, at the same level or more than most solid APAs, very earthy and well balanced by a bit of sweetness. I feel like this is a bit heavy for the style but I think many people will like that about it.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at the brewpub bar with a clear, straw hue, modest, white head foam that reduced rather quickly to a ring and film, but left some wavy ribbons of lacing. The nose was light grain, and a little spice and sweetness. The flavor was similar, with a healthy hop bitterness that dominated the malt content nicely, as it should in a Bohemian Pils, light body, lively carbonation, and a nice, clean crispness. Very sessionable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazed yellow pour with a pretty robust and fluffy white head. The nose is sweet caramel malt, lemon, grassy, and hinting at tartness. Substantial caramel malt sweetness, bread dough, lemony tartness, cut grass, and a stronger-than-expected hit of continental hoppiness (floral in nature). Quite nice...very refreshing, repeatable, and satisfying.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft on tap at the Mug Club tapping (Flossmoor, IL). Pours a nice hazy golden straw hue, a decent offwhite head sits atop and dies to a small film, laces ok. Aromas are grass and lemon rind, raw cereal grains, doughy bread, crackers, with a light floral appeal. Appetizing. Initial is more substantial end of light bodied, full of flavors of grass and lemon rind, some decent florals, bread dough and crackers come from behind, cereal grains, cheerios, a refreshing lemon and floral balance with grassy, earthy hops. Gentle but tasty, decent bitterness. The unfiltered essence really gives it a kick in the flavor department. Grass, lemon, bread. Refreshing but still quite flavorful. Not sweet, balanced well. A clean but flavorful Bohemian that rivals any I’ve had. The freshness is probably it’s strength and likely gives it quite a great flavor. A winner in the lager realm
