Well-hazed tea-like golden amber beneath a fading head of soapy off-white froth. Estery lemondrops precede sweetened caramel malts in the nose. I also get an odd yet pleasant whiff of cinnamon Pop-tarts. Smooth and thick on the tongue and gullet. A slight balance towards sweet, bready pale malt in the flavor, but there is a nice balance of tart citrusy hop with a splash of fresh grasses. Dangerously quaffable, this would keep me at that "regular’s table" for hours and hours. ~~~~~~~~~ Draught pint at the brewery.

aroma is light grains, little lace, thin ring, semi sweet. medium mouthfeel, lingering, not crisp. Okay, but not the best flossmoor has to offer

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy copper amber with a thin creamy off-white head. Nicely hoppy with a clean malt body. Dry, with a light body.

hazy gold, teeny white head that quickly dissipates to a ring of tiny bubbles that rim the side of the glass turning into a slight lace. nose if airy, musty malt. the mustiness of the malt shows through in the taste much more than the nose suggests. medium bodied, lightly bitter finish. acceptable but mild offering.

On tap at flossmoor station; excuse my ignorance, but its not a proper altbier is it? Im having a hard time recognizing much of any similarities, honestly. Florals and biscuits, soap, unfortunately, on the nose. Prickly hop profile, indeed. Biscuits, florals, soap, and a touch of caramel; I guess that’s my problem here, the malt profile is barely present.

Draft at FS. Stopped over after DLD, to console myself after my four bottles of DL got misplaced or stolen. Sigh. A cautious brown in my 12 oz. glass. Thin white head. Sweet malt smell. A bit of ale taste through the foam. Body tastes clean like a lager, but also has some of the fruity esters of a warm ferment. Yeasty aftertaste. A good beer in which to drown my sorrows.

Draft on tap at the Mug Club Tapping (Flossmoor, IL). Pours a well hazed amber hue, some glowing fire on the bottom, a small frothy offwhite head atop dies to a thicker film, ok lacing. Aromas are crisp bready and biscuity malts, floral and lightly spiced hops, grass, dough, toast, some fruity elements of light apple and pear. Initial is lighter bodied, offering some light fruity qualities, touches of bread, biscuits, faint darker grainy toast, light banana bread. Touches of soapy hops, florals, lingering fruit, toast, biscuits, crisp grains. Light on the palate with a good flavor balance, crisp dry finish with a nice malty base, flavorful fruit and biscuity malts. A light prickly dry hopping, floral, lingering fruity malts. A nice beer, crisp and light with some good balance. Like how this plays on the palate, dry to sweet to dry finish. Fruity, biscuity malts, dry floral and grassy finish with lingering ester like fruits.
