Lovely woody bourbon. Great mix and balance. Bit too bourbony maybe, great spice on the finish though. MesandSim (5818), London, Greater London, England

Rich red brown with a thin tan head. Damn, Wooden Hell is the right name for this. So SO much barrel. Far too much bourbon and loads of coconut. A good barley wine underneath obviously but this for me is what is wrong with barrel aging. Take a good beer and kill it with aggressive barrel flavours. It could have also been called bourbon hell... hopdog (5553), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Alround rating: Massivly big caramalt body, sweet syrupyness, lots of toffee caramel vanilla character. Its too basic and unbalanced for me. I didnt finish the sample. Hugely suprised to see it rated this highly. hopscotch (5474), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Great retention. Caramel, light chocolate and light bourbon in the nose. The flavor is sweet, then bitter with notes of caramel and sourmash. Full-bodied and syrupy with medium carbonation. Finishes alcoholic and dry. Very warm, but not nearly as "hot" as Ella’s Reserve. World class effort! CaptainCougar (5420), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Rich, sweet caramel bourbony aroma has some vanilla oaky complexity. Body starts with good sweet caramel malty flavor with lots of oaky vanilla, a touch of butterscotch and some warming alcohol. A nice, barrel-aged barleywine. jcwattsrugger (5258), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
