Totally average. A taste that is very similar to most of the below average Pilsener beers. Just bland.

From Biershop Bayern. Superb helles. Very malty and smooth tasting, with just enough hops to make this a really interesting beer. Extremely drinkable. Should a close to perfect example of the style...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 50 cl from Maruhn - Darmstadt (D). Limpid blond with immaculate white foam but fugacious, cool crackling. On the nose, malt dominant, acidulity, note of hop. The mouth is fresh, bitter-sweet, clean with cereals. Slight hop, nothing exceptional but balanced and thirst-quenching. Average body. Finale soft without pungency.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with McTapps. Nice quaffy one with decent sweetnees and fine malt in the background. Easy to drink and definitely above average.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light yellow-golden colour with low head and medium body. Nose of sweet malt. Taste of fresh and sparkling carbonation, mild hops, champagne, ripe grains and brown bread. Very nice and easy to drink, very refreshing and fizzy. One of the better Dortmunder / Helles.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A pale golden yellow coloured beer with a weak white head. A faint malt aroma with hops in the background. Medium mouthfeel. A smooth malty taste to begin with, there is a hint of spice, suggestions of pepper and cinnamon. Then a tart hoppy flavour comes through, grassy and a touch citrusy, balancing the flavour well into the finish. It’s good but the best Hells in the world? I’d say that’s a matter of opinion! Bottle from Fristo Getränkemarkt, Freising, Germany.

It’s golden with a creamy, white4 head. The aroma has notes of malt, vegetables and a touch of fruit. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of malt, straw, bread and a little fruit. The finish is dry.

500ml bottle. Pretty much tastes like a spicy Pilsener beer. Not the best, but very drinkable!
