(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of sweet spices, pale malts and raisins, with a hint of marzipan. flavour is mostly the same, with lots of of burnt caramel, some alcohol and a barnyardy, slightly bitter finish. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 neur0 (221) - GERMANY - DEC 21, 2011
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2011

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 crossovert (2786) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Labeled as Mai bock. 500ml bottle MHB: 08.09.11.
It pours a deep helles gold with a nice bright white head that produces some very nice lacing.
The scent is malty and fruity.
It is a full-flavored maibock for sure. It has a n abundance of springy fruit flavors but a nice sweet denseness from the malt. The drinkability is amazing for the style and the abv.
I really enjoyed this one.

Bottle (as Maibock): Pale golden to golden with a greenish sheen and a small white lacy head; sweetish grainy-strawy nose with a grassy-hoppy background; moderate to solid sweet and slightly bitter flavour, soft and pretty light bodied for a beer of 7.0%; slightly lingering sweetish-grainy and mildly bitter finish. O.K., well made but not too demanding......

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kappldav123 (3293) - Markkleeberg, GERMANY - APR 17, 2009
The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts dry, a bit alcoholic. Good use of hops. Finish modest sourish-dry. Not bad!
