Bottle. Toffee malt, orange, clove, banana aroma. Cloudy brown with large tan head. Light toffee malt and banana flavor with a mild bitter finish. Flavor that’s there is decent - just not much there. Not much body.

It’s unclear brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, yeast and light fruit. The sweet flavor has notes of caramel, light licorice, yeast, wheat and light fruit. The finish is slightly dry and spicy.

50cl Bottle@ hotel bar. Hazy darker brown coloured beer with a dence white head. Rather fruity banana hinted and yeasty wheaty touched aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is bitter yeasty with some fruity (again ripe bananas) and slight herby touches. Rather heavy dunkel with some sweet yeasty endings. Medium.

Flaske: Mørk orange let uklar øl med et stort skumhoved. Duften er let gæret med en smule brændt malt. Smagen er let sur fra gæren og rimelig brændt i smagen i forhold til stilen. Udmærket øl.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - OCT 18, 2011
8/8/11/10/11/11

At Papsoe’s pre CPH Beer Fest tasting, cheers Henrik! Cloudy brown beer. Soft semi dry palate, blooms frothy in the mouth. Nice dark wheat with a touch of chocolate. Good fruit coming through in the finish.

Bottle: Hints of roasted malt, yeast, some fruitiness. Hazy dark orange to brown color. Flavor is fruity with light notes of citrus, some malt and caramel notes. Light astringent, light dry finish. OK.

Bottled 500ml. -from beerangel.de shared with Doggythedog.
Murky pale brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, almost neutral nose (very very mild roasty). Slight roasted malt, fruits and caramel with notes of coffee and banana. Lots of sediment in the bottle and also in my glass. Ok for dunkel, but far away from decent dunkelweizen.

Bottle, 5.3%. Mild baking yeast aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Nice stable creamy tan head. The flavour is mild, slightly roasted, sour hint, perhaps just citric. Roasted note in the finish.

Bottle from beerangel.de, shared with ogivlado
Poured a murky brown body, quite nice with a fine off white head that went away relatively slowly. Some light roaty maltiness in the nose.... dog food? Not too much. Some roasty coffeish maltiness in the taste too, ending with something bitter that might just be hops.... wheaty, slightly lactic and yeasty. Nice for a dunkel, expected more from a dunkel weizen. And again a wheat with no esters. Damn.
