GTown (126), New York, USA Feb 14, 2005 Tap at the brewhouse. Great appearance...smoky and chocolate. Mild coffee flavor. Not the best porter, but a decent one. Overall, Flour City impresses me... jah noth (938), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 13, 2004 Very flat pour. Redish brown in color, light for a porter. Light in body. The roastiness dominates the flavor, with subtle hops coming through. If you are in the mood, this porter can hit you good. Otherwise, it is decent. rudolf (1561), Buffalo, New York, USA Oct 29, 2004 Aroma is tootsie rolls. Flavor is bleh. I wish I could say that this was an infection, but this is the 2nd time I’ve had it and thought of burnt rubber. Sweet and watery. BuckNaked (1195), Tempe, Arizona, USA Oct 8, 2004 2004 draught at brewery. Pours deep, dark brown with a small tan head. Has a nice roast aroma with plenty of chocolate, coffee, malt and nuts. Thin to medium bodied, this beer was very easy to drink yet it didn’t leave me feeling like it was missing something. Good quality roasted flavors, chocolate, coffee, medium-dark malts, nuts, and some bitterness round out the flavor. It was very smooth, yet quite nicely bitter and full of flavor. My favorite from Flour City so far. joey_capps (1464), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Sep 29, 2004 Dark brown w/ very thin, light brown head. Robust aroma of chocolate, coffee, & nuts. Thin, medium feel. Nice, lightly roasted, dry flavour of chocolate, coffee, & nuts.
