Cask conditioned at The Bell, Banbury. Copper with white head. A fuller version of a malty bitter, drying on the palate with a nutty, husky, earthy flavour. There is a balancing leafy hop note, quite woody, then just a hint of bittersweetness adds some depth. Pretty good.

Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy, open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sugar, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100430]

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Reddish amber colour, lasting beige head. Not a lot of condition. White pepper flavour. Really very decent bitter with good hop.
