Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, thin coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508) Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jun 8, 2008 Cask, gravity at the Flowerpots brewpub, Cheriton, Hampshire 6th June 2008 Pours very dark brown fading to a mid brown towards the edges. Nose was quite nice and very traditional methinks, with some good solid roasty and woody notes. Tasted very traditional and whilst it initially impressed I felt that it started to lack little as I go down it but interestingly aside from the gentle roasted flavours there was a slightly sour edge and I think that this was intentional with also some nice gentle hoppy flavours coming through, not bad. harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England May 18, 2007 Cask gravity at Reading BF. Decent condtion. OK for a 3.2% mild. It was good, nice mild. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England May 10, 2007 A Mes rate:
Gravicask @ Reading Beer Festival. Muddy brown colour. Chocolate malt nose let down by a little sulphur. Nice mellow and downable with most of the standard mild attributes. Run of the mill but certainly drinkable. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England May 9, 2007 Gravity Cask @ Reading Beer Festival 07. Brown. Sweetish malty caramel and a little toastiness almost buttery toffee. Mild hop. Unimpressive but drinkable mild
