Standard flat appearing bitter with virtually no aroma. Watery flavour with a slight hint of caramel. Overall a fairly basic bitter.

Looking for a pint in an unfamiliar part of town, I wandered into a pub at random and found only one cask beer. And when I got home, I found, to my surprise, that I had never rated it before. So, a bit of a result. Copper colour. A fruity and sweet best bitter, with very limited hop presence. A touch too sweet for my palate. Perfectly drinkable, but profoundly middle of the road. A touch too sweet for my palate.

Cask at Breadsall Priory, Derby. Amber with a dense white head; malt and hops aroma; predominantly malty flavour with a good bitter finish. Not exciting, but just what an ordinary bitter should be.

Cask. Brownish-amber. Rather sweet. Malty. Amber malt, chocolate, toffee flavors. Slightly roasted, slightly earthy taste. Very light on the hops. Nice enough. Not terribly interesting but a well-made bitter.
