Scubatrip (310), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Nov 30, 2007 On tap at the brewpub, has a very nice floral aroma and a rather grassy hoppy taste. Not overwhelming, but the grassy hops dominate the flavor. Pretty good IPA.
chokmah33 (88), Bremerton, Washington, USA Apr 27, 2008 Golden, thicky + cloudy apperance.
Aroma of citrus/ pine hops, yeast, and winey fruits. Bitter pine/ grapefruit hops dominates. Yeasty bitter finish that lasts. Medium bodied with a slightly astringent texture.
Maybe I’m just gettin tired of orthodox IPA’s, but this one didn’t do it for me. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 19, 2008 Hazy goldeny orange colour with light off white head. Aroma was hoppy and light bready malts. Hops come up first but not in abundance before the beer moves to typical dry yet underwhelming finish. riversideAK (1468), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jan 7, 2008 Tap at Brouwers. Orange color with a nice head. Aroma of bitter NW hops and a touch of buttery malt. Flavor is a blast of herbal bitterness. Not alot of sweetness. Chewy and resiny hops. Dry. I enjoy hop heavy IPA’s and this was one of those. 5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Jan 1, 2008 Draught at Brouwer’s Café: Amber in color, quite hazy, thin to moderate white head, sticky lacing, vigorous carbonation.   Biting
citrus and hop nose, appears as if it might be somewhat astringent.   Very biting on the tongue, astringent citrus peel dominates.
This one is not smooth by any means.   Earthy and grainy. Not enough malt either.   Could use some sweetness too.   Body and
mouthfeel are average.   Astringent finish, overly bitter.   Yeah, seems like they tried too hard with this one.   Not smooth at
all.
