Brown with minimal head. Slight roasty malt aroma and flavour but otherwise pretty standard and simple.

Pint @ Flyers. Scotch-brown in color. Smells like caramel. Tastes a little thin and watery. Overly carbonated. Pales in comparison to the Breakfast Stout.

Great brown color, better than a lot of browns I’ve had prior. Subtle sweet aroma with a similar flavor complete with gentle chocolatey highlights.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber/brown with a creamy tan head. Harsh malty aroma. Flavor is mild bitter over a smooth burnt/roast malt. Almost a tea bitter finish. Nice. Very drinkable.

Sugary caramel aroma, chestnut color, only a ring of a head. Hops really come through in the sip, and while balanced, doesn’t swirl or flow with complexity. Sugary malt character leaves right away. Much more hop forward than I thought.

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2007 This is one of my favorite brown ales! Not too hoppy or malty, just the right balance. I like how the flavor lingers in my mouth. Definitely a beer to drink slowly (I like it at a warmer temp).
