Oakes (6793), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jan 6, 2008 Somewhat murky amber. Heavy caramel nose, with some roast and chocolate. A panoply of aimless dark malts, with too much booze. Muddled yeastiness...one of those experiments you know they just had to try, but that doesn’t mean it’s worth getting excited about. argo0 (6024), Washington DC, USA Jul 8, 2007 (22oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Small tan head, mahogany body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, grapefruit/earthy, faint smoke. Taste is sweet, caramel, some molasses, grapefruit, light pine, alcohol, cherry/medicinal. Medium-full body, sticky. Glad this one was shared, as it’s too sweet to drink the entire 22oz myself. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 05/05/2007

I would like to rerate this beer.
CaptainCougar (4601), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 5, 2007 Pours a barely transparent dark copper mahogany with a nicely-lacing light tan head. Aroma of dark caramel and peaty malt with a touch of earthy complexity. Body has a nice, full viscous sweet, sticky caramel, and subtle, smoky peat with some light fruity complexity. Well-balanced and enjoyable. hopscotch (4390), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jul 30, 2007 Bottle... O-Town Throwdown Part Deux... Clear, very dark, orange ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The malty nose conveys aromas of caramel, cola, brown sugar and light smoke. Tangy and sweet with lots of caramel, chocolate and red wine. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Bittersweet, chocolaty finish. Cheers to boboski for popping this one open at his place!
