Had off tap at two beers brewing, surprised to realize it’s brewed by flyers. Semi sweet, roasted dark malt flavors. Middle and finish are Coffee/chocolate and medium dry. Nice fresh tasting brew.

Draught at brewpub
Black color with small creamy brown head. Very similar to the Brown Ale, just a bit bolder and more chocolatey, but the roasted malt and coffee dominate, and this is more Stout than Porter.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting, Sept 2013 - Pours very dark brown and smells of roast malt and coffee. The flavor is much the same and in a good way. It’s full flavored and full bodied, a straightforward porter with a pleasantly lingering roasted finish that’s overall quite enjoyable.

Bomber from Hayduke. This beer wears a rich frothy tan head and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. It is quite dark with minimal red. I typically look for coffee and, or, chocolate in a porter. Neither of those are found here. More earthiness than anything. First sip is quite robust. A big zingy bitterness. A lot of grain and earth. Deep roastiness. Fruity hops that are under so much of the flavor. There is dry very dark bakers chocolate and it works well with this beer. I also get a hint of smokiness here. This is bold, dry, and bitter. Not your typical porter. I like it.

Got this at the brewpub in Oak Harbor, WA. Came in the glass a dark brown with a big brown head. Nose of chocolate and coffee. Full body. Smooth mouthfeel . Flavor is rich, with chocolate coffee and some bitter chocolate that keeps the bitterness through the finish. They call this their "flagship" beer and it most certainty deserves that label. Darn good.

Dark beer with a foamy brown head. Puffed wheat and dusty chocolate nose. Rich chocolaty beer with some coffee, old campfire and puffed wheat flavors.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The smooth mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a bitter dark malt aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
