Draught at a lacrosse game in Buffalo. I remember I enjoyed the game more than the beer. But I also remember thinking that this was a pretty good beer for a major sporting event. And I wrote down some numbers.

Bottle via UDBeernut the super-generous. Finally an Irish ale with an appropriate amount of body. Nose is all malt as is long luscious and full malt body. Yum. Barrel rolls and barnstorming tricks abound in ones life. This is a great relaxing time beer after all the storming is said and done.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dionysus (1443) - Arizona, USA - JUN 24, 2011
Bottle pours deep red/amber with an off-white head. Aroma is yeast and buttered toffee backed up by some earthy hops. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of chocolate covered nuts and a slight herbal quality to it. Overall body is moderate and finishes with light bitterness. Definately
one of the oddest irish reds i’ve ever had.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 ontbeermaker (1859) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 7, 2011
I hope this bottle was old, it was the yeastiest beer I have ever had, What? this was unbelievable it had the largest head I have ever had, it filled the entire glass with foam. So ridculious this beer was nuts. It just tasted like yeast too, I think the yeast just took over and sucked the taste right out of this one. wouldnt recommend this one
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 pete4999 (843) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 23, 2011
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2011 Bottle. I’ve had this many times, both bottled and on tap. This got incredibly better once they re-opened the brewery. It used to be light, thin, and not very flavorful. Now, it’s deep, with a caramel sweetness and a smooth mouthfeel. ETA - another re-rate here. This beer is legit now.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2010
A- dark red/brown body with light tan head. great head retention.
S- malty, carmel, nuts, maybe hints of chocolate.
T- nuts, carmel, and malt up front. Bitter hop aftertaste. Hints of chocolate may be in the background.
P- medium weight body and very fizzy.
O- this was interesting and worth a try. Quite complex taste to it. The carbonation gets in the way of the character though.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 DaSilky1 (2605) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Clear amber, thin off-white head, and somewhat lacey. Diacatyl bombarded nose, diacatyl bombarded flavors...the nose...butterscotch and toff. The flavors, toffee and grassy hops...quite hoppy actually...but diacatyl is everwhere. I wouldn’t rate it but it seemed the brewery reps were there and serving it at the flour city brewer fest in rochester, so be it. A lesson in diacatyl awareness...should be served to anyone studying becoming a beer judge.
