3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a clear sweet tea amber with a thin white ring. Aroma of sweet malts, roasted malts, and dark fruit esters. Nice roasted malts a bit of caramel and dark fruits. Interesting on the palate. Smooth and clean. Medium bodied. A bit of hop bitterness on the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Transfer from BA review on 12-24-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear medium copper color with a tiny fizzy pure white head. The head fades almost instantly leaving only a tiny level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of toasted malts and a little bit of a spice smell. Along with these aromas is some nice caramel and toffee sweetness as well as a little bit of a hop smell of a more earthy and grassy nature.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather malty and caramel sweet flavor with a little bit of an apple taste. As the flavor advances some lighter spice flavors as well as a bit of a toasted brown bread flavor come to the tongue. Toward the end, some hoppy flavors of a grassy nature as well as some more toffee flavors come to the tongue, mixing with the lightly toasted and roasted, sweet flavors to leave a rather sweet and lightly toasted flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer rather average with a carbonation level that is slightly lower than average. Both are rather good for the malty and sweet flavors of the brew, all while keeping it still heavy enough feeling to keep it a nice fall/winter style sipper.
Overall – A good brew for the fall weather. It has a nice malty and sweet taste with an easy drinking, but still satisfyingly feel.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It had a dark brunt amber color with good clarity and a small creamy off white colored head. The head slowly faded leaving just a small ring of bubbles on top with some slick lacing that slid down the glass as I drank. The aroma was sweet and malty with hints of caramel and a good dose of spicy/herbal hops. It has a solid malty body with pleasant roasted and caramel notes. The hop presence is solid as well and brings nice spicy and herbal notes with mellow bitterness. It has a medium to full body with a well balanced smooth finish. The texture is smooth and slightly slick with good carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer has a nice dark straw color to it with a mild hazy color to it. The beer pours nicely with a nice one finger head and minimal lacing on the glass. The smell is okay with a somewhat mild caramel, malty smell and a yeasty finish to it. The taste is decent with a nice malty taste with a blend of mild caramel sweetness and a little hoppy bitterness to it.
The mouthfeel is okay with a mild sweetness from the malts and caramel tastes and the beer is carbonated okay. Overall, I jump on this beer every year and is not horrble by any means, but doesnt WOW me either.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a thin white head. Relatively clean toasted malty profile, with lighter floral and earthy hoppy notes. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Purchased growler directly from brewery. Seemed a bit high in etoh at first but that seemed to dissipate once the the carbonation level went down a bit. Clean, mildly malty aroma, amber color. Color a bit dark for style and I found the beer on the malty sweet side yet very drinkable and refreshing. If you like malt sweetness you'll love this beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a growler purchased from the brewery. Was titled simply Bisonfest at the brewery, so I can’t say for certain it’s the same beer. Clear orange brown, smells and tastes very sweet. Almost too sweet, and has a bit of an almond taste to it. Not sure why. Tasted better in the taster I had at the brewery. I’ve been liking FBBC a lot lately, but I think this one isn’t for me.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy, caramel color, pretty much no head. Rich and sweet and strong, but nicely balanced by the bitterness and some roasted notes. Caramel/brown sugar plus some floral hoppiness. Has a bit of that fruity/metallic tang that’s present in a lot of Belgian beers. The sharpness fades as the beer warms. A little bit of creaminess in the mouthfeel.
