3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
on tap pours straw yellow with a small white head, little retention. Nose and taste of flowers, light malt. Well balanced and a good rinse for my BBQ chicken. A bit of hay rises as it warms.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light golden/yellow in color with an airy white head. It looks thin and slightly sweet. I’m guessing this is grainy just from the looks of it. There’s no head retention at all. The aroma is slightly sweet with a touch of grain and perhaps some signature lager skunkiness. It is well-balanced and light, though.
It’s even more light on the palate and mouthfeel. More straight-up grain and straw than sweetness in the mouth. There’s a slight mineral water dryness on the tongue that surfaces in the finish. This is certainly something to drink during the summer months... in the heat of the 100+ degree Texas heat. It’s certainly far from exceptional... but then again it is a Kölsch. Not too bad for the style.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
July 2013 from bottle. Golden color with a white head. Not a bad beer, just a boring style, but very drinkable. On the lighter side, but with flavors. Good on a hot day.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Grainy pils malt, a hint of sweetness and cardboard, and very low bitterness. This is not a kolsch. Too high of alcohol, and not the right hop presence. Inspired by kolsch? Sure.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Poured from 12oz bottle. Very bland and unremarkable beer. Tasteless. Slightly better than a big box light beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pretty good interpretation of the style. Bready aroma. Pours golden and clear. Some hops on the tail end. Fluffy head. Well rounded. One of the better kolsch styke beers I have tried.
