Commercial Description:
Our newer friends at Flying Bison have brewed a beer called Dunklescoatzen for the 10th Anniversary of The Grey Lodge. It is a Munich style Dunkle (very soft and balanced) lagered on 15 lbs. of Napoleon sweet cherries. There's only one barrel so, no growlers.

Deep reddish-brown body with a flat, filmy pour. Aroma of split cherries, chocolate, and sweet pie crust malt notes. Watery, cherry cola syrup flavor. Suggests cherry cider too. Sweet with a light and juicy body with minimal carbonation in the mouthfeel. A flimsy fruit beer that begs for more malt character and some balancing tartness.

Red in the glass with no sign of a head forming. Smells similar to a cherry slurpee with some malt notes. Much the same in the flavor with the cherries coming out more. Very little carbonation.

Poured a hazy, red / copper color with no head or lacing on the glass. Aroma of light grain, cherry, and a touch of caramel malt. Taste of sweet cherry, caramel malts, light toasted dough, and a faint nuttiness.
