Bottle from beer of the month club. A nice amber pour with an off white head that had some retention but no lace. A slightly watery appearance. Aroma had nice caramel malts upfront combined with a nice nuttiness. Some mild floral hops. Flavor initially had some nice sweet malt notes upfront and a delicate bit from the hops. Aftertaste had almost an astringent note to it that took away from the beer. Smooth finish. A decent beer ruined by the aftertaste.

Draft at UM at Canal Side. Iíve had this before, but never rated it. Wasnít much craft selection there so I had to go with this. Pours a dark clear amber with small bubbly tan head. Aroma isnít much. Some caramel, brown sugar, bread. Flavor was the same as the nose. Lager yeast notes. Body was light and thin texture. Average carbonation. Not very good at all.

Bottle at home. Aroma is caramel malts with a bit of turpentine. Pretty basic flavor profile... malt heavy, dry crisp finish, zero complexity. Passable at best but one is plenty, thank you.

Light lacing, toasty amber beer, worth a try, but I doubt youíll find anything you havenít tasted before.

This is a decent amber colored brew. It is a bit caramelly for the style maybe but is still pretty tasty and dry with solid bitterness in the finish. It has a nice noble hop character and a good bit of bready malt a well. I wasnít sure what to expect from a lager from this brewery but this is really pretty good.

Deep red-orange. Just a finger of head. Classic Vienna appearance. Slow, tiny bubbles. Aroma is very sugary, with a very heavy toffee/molasses undercurrent. Touch of black licorice. There some dates that are very mild. Taste is sugary, heavy caramel. Itís just malts, no hops can be detected. The feel is thick and a little chunky, like a shag carpet. Itís a very sweet American ale. not a hop to be found. It would be tempting to compare it to macrocrap like Yuengling (itís closest cousin) but the flavors are good and complex enough to separate it.

This one poured a deep amber colour with a smooth, creamy off white head. Scents include a little ripe fruit, old attic and sweet malt. First swig was a little watery with flavours of must and nuts with a little ripe fruit. Finish is a little musty with malty flavours lingering.

12oz bottle from a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, NY. A gloden amber pour with a trace of translucent head; some grassy hops on the nose; sweet, malty body, but rather thin; and with a bready caramel finish. Very pleasant.

Clear, light amber pour with a white head. The aroma is malty with sweet bread, caramel, and nuts. It has a light, thin body with average carbonation. The taste is bland and dry.
