Slutfest. Deep hazy dark brown, slight head. 2013 bottling. Aroma is caramel, toffee, slight citrus. Flavor is a match, very rich caramel, really nice. Liked this a lot.

Slutfest 2013: Pencil shavings on the nose. Cloudy copper, thick yellow head. Cherry, marzipan, and pencil shavings. Complex malt bomb, but a little hot. Low bourbon character, thank you. A rare malt forward, whiskey barrel aged barleywine that even I like.

750 mL bottle shared at Slutfest 4. Pours a hazy bronze color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big citrus hops, whisky, wood, toffee malts. The taste is toffee malts, raisin, wood, whisky, bitter hops. Medium bodied, well balanced.

Had a couple of these over the years, this was my most recent in 2012 split with Joe. Pours a reddish brown color with light to medium beige head, no lacing to note. Aromas of heavy dark fruit, booze, cocoa and figs. Taste is the same with a nice malt backbone and plenty of candy sugars. Palate is very smooth. Only complaint is it’s a little too sweet but still enjoyed.

Poured a really nice dark reddish color, had some very sweet caramel barrel scents and taste. It had a nice medium mouth feel.

Bottle. Bronze and clear with a small head.Powerful and slightly sweet but not as much as other beers of a similar strength. If you like to be hit full on by a beer this is the one for you. Slightly scarey label as well.

Bottle. Trade from rgtravers, thank you so much Ryan. Clear dark red/brown body with a very small offwhite head. Aroma is lots of dark fruit, raisins and plums being the dominating, alcohol, toffee and some liquorice notes. Flavor is also dark fruit, raisins, plums, caramel, warming alcohol, Nice lacings. Oily texture.
