Botella de 33cl. ...demasiado dulce. ...falta de espuma. ...poco carbonatada. ...me ha defraudado! !!!!!

Draft sample at Crossroads Spirits (2012 Vintage). Poured a hazy brownish/amber color with a thick frothy light tan head. Aroma of wood, caramel, light citrus notes, and roasted malt. Taste is similar. Chewy caramel, some sweet dark fruits, subtle rotted citrus notes, and dry wood. Pretty solid. Couldn't have ever killed a growler of this by myself, but happy I got to sample it.

aroma: moutig, zoet, deeg, zacht

AROMA: was a tad bit strong you could really make out the red wine and whiskey overall very pleasing. APPEARANCE: dark red wine as expected by most barley wines. Sort of flat foaming top poured very light. TASTE: very different from other beers I’ve tasted has its own unique taste to set it apart from other flying dogs. ITS like drinking strong champagne with a bunch of hops not recommended for soft drinker PLATE: The ABV.% was at 10.0so that made the beer have an over whelming palate taste the whiskey was no help ether. OVERALL: I would recommend you only drink 1-2 do to the high ABV% very strong but some what sweet tasting cheers!!

Slutfest. Deep hazy dark brown, slight head. 2013 bottling. Aroma is caramel, toffee, slight citrus. Flavor is a match, very rich caramel, really nice. Liked this a lot.

Slutfest 2013: Pencil shavings on the nose. Cloudy copper, thick yellow head. Cherry, marzipan, and pencil shavings. Complex malt bomb, but a little hot. Low bourbon character, thank you. A rare malt forward, whiskey barrel aged barleywine that even I like.

750 mL bottle shared at Slutfest 4. Pours a hazy bronze color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big citrus hops, whisky, wood, toffee malts. The taste is toffee malts, raisin, wood, whisky, bitter hops. Medium bodied, well balanced.

Aromas of raisins, vanilla, toffee, orange peel, and nutty tones. Very hazy, dirty brown with a fairly retaining, khaki head. Somewhat sweet with coconut flavors, and hot. Medium body, low carbination, strong and warming.

Sampled at Slutfest 4 - Sexytime! Very sweet and raisin and molasses. Super smooth. The stranahan’s is delicious. Not hot at all. Very nice.

Had a couple of these over the years, this was my most recent in 2012 split with Joe. Pours a reddish brown color with light to medium beige head, no lacing to note. Aromas of heavy dark fruit, booze, cocoa and figs. Taste is the same with a nice malt backbone and plenty of candy sugars. Palate is very smooth. Only complaint is it’s a little too sweet but still enjoyed.
