COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice.

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

This is really good. Orange meshes perfectly with hoppy citrus hops. Pours golden orange. Finishes bitter, sweet and a little citrusy sour. Love this one. Soft carbonation. Tap at DC Beer festival.

Not as impressed with this one as other offerings. Color is a nice amber/orange color. Strong hop and citrus aroma. Taste follows through but there isnít much umph. I thought the mouth feel was kind of thin as well.

Really juicy, pleasing orange aromas and palate. Best of both hops and citrus, with a long, hoppy finish. Very balanced and quenching. Surprised by the alcohol on this one.

Really good IPA. Bitter up front, thin palate, dry finish. Orange is present in the nose and a bit in the palate, but itís not overpowering. Good stuff.

Location/Date:Draft on April 27th, 2013 at The Bier Baron.

Appearance: Pours a clear orange.
Aroma: Aroma of orange and pine.
Taste: Medium bitterness, pine, lots of orange..
Palate:Medium body, slightly sticky, lingering aftertaste.

Summary: A really nice IPA. The orange really completes the bitterness and pine, gives it more of a west coast-ish feel. Really well balanced. Please make more!
