COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice.

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

2014 version is brewed with Northern Brewer, Citra and Galaxy.

Aroma of orange, blood orange, lemon zest, sweet grapefruit, a little malt. Pours golden copper, sparkling carbonation and white foamy head. Taste is medium soft bitter and light to medium sweet. Medium body, pretty slick, average carbonation, mild sweeter fruity finish with a tad bitterness. Overall a nice bright aroma, flavourful and juicy. Underrated and pretty easily drinkable.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2016 On tap at Ashley?s in Westland, MI. Clear orange pour with small white head and light lacing. There?s orange in the aroma and taste. Beautiful mild sweetness. Medium full mouthfeel. This is just a perfect blend of all an IPA should be. I could drink several of these. Revised down - not the same impression on 2nd time some days later.

Draft at Wolfgang Puck at the Dulles Terminal A. The ale poured a clear Amber color with a small off white head in a Pilsner glass. This a nice IPA with lacing down the glass and orange zest on the nose. The taste was more complex with some citrus lie bitterness and some sweet orange juice. The medium body ale had average carbonation. There was some pomegranate flavor at the end. Smooth rich finish.

Bottle at 100 piv. Clear golden to orange colour. Moderately stable white head. Intense citrusy aroma and flavour, juicy, zesty. I will not go so far as to say I get the blood orange, but I enjoy the beer overall. It has got a very light sourish twang that hints at real fruit usage. Quite good.
