COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice.

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

2014 version is brewed with Northern Brewer, Citra and Galaxy.

BOTTLE 12 OZ. Clear bright copper, off-white head. Juicy orange in the nose, pith and some a hint of resin. No malts. The taste is dry and orangey (or pink grapefruit). Virtually not malt sweetness. The bitterness is pithy and a tad harsh, exhibiting some alcoholic notes in the finish. Still, an enjoyable IPA.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

pours golden color, clear, slightly haze, with tan on finger white head. Aroma: intense fruity aroma, which takes on citruses, red orange, grapefruit, with hint of pine and some spicy notes. Flavors are similar: intense fruity flavors, with notes mentioned above. Finish is fruity, bitter and lingers long in aftertaste. Body is medium, texture is soft, carbonation medium.
