Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice.

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

2014 version is brewed with Northern Brewer, Citra and Galaxy.

Bottle shared. Near clear orange golden with a small off white head. Aroma of malt upfront, caramel, blood orange, normal orange, even satsuma dammit. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. [31/07/2016]

Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Clear, amber body, with a frothy, white head. Resin and malt nose. Best before 29.04.17, guessing half a year old. Malt and heavy alcohol flavour. Orange, some citrus and some grapefruit. Bitter, some sweetness. Medium to thick, oily body. Medium carbonation. A bit too malt heavy in my opinion.

Golden with a redish tint anda white head - Good ctrus aroma - Malt body to support a good citrus flavour that has fruityness and bitterness - The citrus goes into the finish and ends dry - This was nice

Can. Bottom line review ... I don’t get any orange in this at all. Is that good or bad? It’s wet and musty, certainly heavy in citric acidity, but so heavy as to bely any fruity component. Good though. (#6331, 9/17/2016)

On tap at Bishops Arms, Sundbyberg. Hazy orange with a small white head. Hoppy with citrus, some orange and light hay. Also hints of caramel. The body was medium as was the bitterness.

Aroma a cítrico (naranja), lúpulos y malta.
