For a vegetable / spice beer, it makes its point. This has never been a style that I liked, but I do taste the notes of ginger, some citrus, some caramel malt, grass and some odd spice. For what it is, it’s ok.

Amber golden colour wih a small white head that soon vanish. Nice aroma with a lot of pepper and some fruity notes. Medium pluss body and slightly sweet. What a great and complex flavour. Yummi. Spicy, pepper, caramel and a bit fruity. Holy ghostship mmmm. Smooth carbonation. Flying Dog won this competition by far!

Bottle. Clear deep golden body, small white head. Aroma is nettles, black cardamom, pepper, caramel, hints of nougat, banana, nuts and nougat. Intriguing, yet mellow. Taste is caramel, cinnamon, cardamom, banana, grass, parsley, hints of pale malts and juniper. Faint traces of orange peel. Spicy, but somehow still mellow and nice in all its complexity. Smooth body and soft carbonation. A nice and original spice ale which I feel is completely underrated at present date.

Bottle. Not very enjoyable. Lots of spice, strong aftertaste that coats the mouth. Clear, light copper color. Not sure what this was going for, but very hard to drink-- surprising from Flying Dog.

Keg @ Arcadia. Cloudy cider colour, no head. Nose is winter spices, gooseberry, grape juice. Taste is acidic, sour and slightly vegetal. Very tart finish. Medium carbonation. Not a fan, I’m afraid.

330ml. Thin head, dark orange pour with loads of thick sediment (my fault for pouring too much out!) Floral aroma, spicy notes, cinnamon? Thin taste, short (if any) finish. Interesting beer, not the worse.

a clear amber/golden colored beer, with a beige head. It dissapears quickly. The aroma of scented spices, some hop and strange fruits. The taste of sweet fruits, overripe grapefruits with a little spices. The aftertaste is scented sweet.

Bottle. Hazy amber colour with lots of deposits floating around in it. Herbal aroma. First sip is pretty ok. Second one goes down. Third one... just make it stop. Better than the BrewDog version, but not because this is good just because their’s is worse. A horrible excuse of a beer.

Pours reddish orange with a small and quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is bread, spice, raspberry and floral. Taste is sweet with spicy undertones, maybe a little tartness. Medium bodied with slick texture. Not sure this works, it was not as bad to me as some reviews suggested but it was certainly not something I would continue to purchase. Interesting idea but FD could do much better.
