2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 tderoeck (3000) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAR 12, 2013
10/III/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 14/VI/13 (2013-232) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!
Clear amber beer, small irregular off-white to light beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, cardamom, floral, rose petals, some overripe fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of cardamom, floral, bit soapy, bitterness, herbal. Aftertaste: lots and lots of cardamom, bit sourish, soapy, herbal, some cocoa powder. Flying Dog: you lose, Brewdog: you "win", but it’s more of a pity cup you get. Neither of these beers are very good.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 suprchunk (1393) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - MAR 10, 2013
Chunky amber pour. Big floaties. Small off-white head that fades quick and leaves no lacing. At least there is some carbonation in there. Bay leaf aroma. A lemony presence, but very much a spice driven beer. Taste is bay leaves. Slight peppery flavor. Not that good. Same as the other side’s offering.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Shaney (1735) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - MAR 10, 2013
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 arone12 (874) - Maryland, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Pours a dark orange color. Smells a bit of carrots. And some sugar. Taste is kinda weird.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 ration (1651) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 9, 2013
090313. Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber with no head. Aroma bubblegum, juniper. Tastes like iced tea. Now that I have tasted both "experiments", all I can say is all glory to the mighty Hops.

355ml botle from Cotteridge Wines.Amber gold hazy pour with a good sized whitish head which quickly faded.Immediate strong aroma of vegetable garden which thankfully did not last long leading to strong pepper smell. Then other spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and coriander to name a few become apparent along with herbs and a hint of orange.First taste was strange to say the least but then the flavour came through made up of everything the aroma suggested with eldeflower also in evidence.Sweet spicy finish with more citrus also there.Interesting and tasty brew which i imagine will differ in various batches because of make up of ingredients and will also have a lot of differing ratings.Would like to try the BrewDog offering of this.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 ciaranc (365) - Dublin, IRELAND - FEB 10, 2013
Murky copper orange, fizzy head that disappears completely extremely quickly. Worst looking beer I’ve seen in years. Sweet phenolic, carbolic, chemical and vegetable aroma. Taste is equally bad, all chemical sweetness and a blast of alcohol. Flat, watery and all round seriously unpleasant.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 scarletfire65 (734) - Rockaway Park, New York, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle at home. Aroma of 7-Up or Sprite. Way over carbonated in the glass, yet almost no head. Tastes kind of like watered down Angostura Bitters. The finish is herbal and artificial, with a weird cinnamon after taste. Tastes like a crappy home brew with malt extract. Just horrible. Epic Fail. I hate this beer.
2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Coyler (57) - Dublin, IRELAND - FEB 5, 2013
Odd powerful aroma , can’t put my finger on it, brandy like? I do like it. Looks slightly cloudy, no head, taste is again odd, not alot going on for it, rustic aftertaste, cardboard like. Not a great beer in my opinion, dissapointed as i haven’t got anything bad from Flying Dog before, shame.
