3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the Mullingan Grocer in Dublin. Pours a light amber gold with minimal head. Aroma is cinnamon and clove and other spices. Taste is very dry. Sweet and syrupy up front with a thick mouthfeel. finish is bitter, but only subtly so. Very interesting. No more than one on a special occasion.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Flattish looking browny bronze beer. The aroma is herbal, gingery and lavender. The flavour is gently bitter, herbal and ginger like with a vinous touch. Overall quite a strange tasting beer that lacks the best things about a beer.

Pours a an amber colour with lots of resin in the bottom. Very little head. Slight aroma of herbs. Whatever this is supposed to be its not very good. Would not have this again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nov 2012 - bottle. Sweet tasting. No hops, so no bitterness. Not very nice, but OK and a lot better than the Brewdog International Arms Race attempt. They’ve captured some of the resin that hops brings. Wouldn’t have again.

Comparing the two beers like it should be probably be. Thy both smell heavily herbal. The black label even unpleasant. But at the taste the flying dog is slightly favorite. But both are not my kind of beer for sure.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Small Pint (20cl). Hazy orange/amber colour with an off-white head. A lot of sweetness on the nose: caramel, sugar and hints of herbs. Taste is mostly toffee-like, but also blended with herbs, malts and lemon. Pretty sugary as well. Spicy notes, but no bitterness. Sometimes similarities with white wine, not well defined though. Medium body, under-carbonated (specially at the end). Not bad, but weird.

10/III/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 14/VI/13 (2013-232) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!
Clear amber beer, small irregular off-white to light beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, cardamom, floral, rose petals, some overripe fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of cardamom, floral, bit soapy, bitterness, herbal. Aftertaste: lots and lots of cardamom, bit sourish, soapy, herbal, some cocoa powder. Flying Dog: you lose, Brewdog: you "win", but it’s more of a pity cup you get. Neither of these beers are very good.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Chunky amber pour. Big floaties. Small off-white head that fades quick and leaves no lacing. At least there is some carbonation in there. Bay leaf aroma. A lemony presence, but very much a spice driven beer. Taste is bay leaves. Slight peppery flavor. Not that good. Same as the other side’s offering.
