LtDan (1676) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white cap of head.

Aroma: Wrigly chewing gum. Double mint and or big red. I know one is mint and one is cinnamon, but it goes back and forth from those two particular odors. Also some dog shampoo.

Taste: Selson blue, pine, earth, mint.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.

Overall: In war, nobody wins, and in the case of this “Race” or “War”, we are all losers. This was barely drinkable, and I enjoy a good spiced/herb vegetable beer. The BrewDog version was even worse and stopped mid way through the tasting notes.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of strawberries, herbal and floral notes, and some sarsaparilla. The taste is berries, floral and earthy notes. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

"You can really taste the kale!" Deep coppery color. Thin tannish head. Odd, vegetable and herb flavor overpowers the ale. Slightly bitter, but more like raw broccoli than hops. Pine needles and pepper are in the mix as well.

Bottle from SB. I rated BrewDog 2.1So I am still curious: can You make an IPA without any Hops and without any bitterness at all? This is also a fruity variance of "beer", with some ginger in taste? but to answer the Question above; NO! And Who won the race: it is a draw.

dmac (3174) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Poured a mostly amber body with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma of dough, wet bread, berry skins, touch of alcohol. Thinner body with stronger carbonation and a watery mouthfeel overall. Flavor actually makes the aroma seem good, notes of rotting berry, spoiled dough, bad fruits and a touch of menthol. This is bad.

Arayaga2 (1623) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Hazy apricot color with a thin white outer ring of "head". Aroma and taste are weird and mostly made of oxidized malt, and some cloying herbal sweetness (almost like stevia). Not sure what this is but it is not an IPA with or without bitterness. $4/12oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

zacgillbanks (962) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A cloudy orange-amber coloured beer with sweet orange blossom, floral, vanilla and ginger notes and a slight sweet and sour finish. A strange and not particularly nice flavour.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2012 Bottle. Pours amber with off white head - well a very small off white that disappears almost immediately. No lacing. Nose and taste of cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice, squash, rosemary, sage, resin and spicy hops. A bit earthy. Medium body.
