Bottle. Poured hazy reddish brown color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted leaving excellent lacing. Good complex dark fruit and maple aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Good fruit sweet flavor with a sweet finish that had a moderate duration. Very sweet brew

An amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a grainy sweet caramel malt, lightly nutty, so-so. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with grassy nites, oily mouthfeel, light Belgian hops, a bit cloying. On tap at R&H, June 30, 2012.

Bottle at Paul’s for the Blind Stout tasting. Pours a hazed ruby amber with a thin to medium sized beige to white head. Big sweet floral candy on the nose. Medium bodied, soft sweet musk. Lots of phenols and musk, sweet fruity esters. Warming alcohol on the finish with a bit of musk. Long phenols on the finish.

From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a nut brown color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet cherry, berry, sugar and a touch of vinegar. The flavor was tart and dryish with a hint of caramel, nutty malts, faint cherry and anise. Long dry, malty anise and cherry finish. Medium body. Ok.
