COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dry Hopped with a load of Cascade hops grown in the Pacific Northwest. Doggie Style has enough hop character to satisfy hop-heads, but isn’t overpoweringly hoppy. It’s brilliant amber-copper color and pleasant malt flavor comes from the addition of Carastan malts.

Bottle: pours vivid cinnabar in color, adorned by a rugged, near white head. One point off appearance for being anything but "pale". Spotty lace. Mouthwatering PNW hop aroma... pineapple, cherry, watermelon, hay... and sugary malt. Simple citric hop and rye cracker flavor. Light, watery body leads to a delicate hoppy aftertaste. Friendly brew, no flaws, yet one-dimensional. No guts, no glory.

This beer pours a rich amber color with a 1/4 in. tan head. Very hoppy flavor with bread smell and taste. Cheers!

Pours amber with a fully receding white head. Aroma of caramel and flowery hops. Taste is light sweet with a long spicy bitterness. Average pale ale in a fancy bottle.

On tap. Pours orange amber with little head. Smooth, light mouthfeel. Strong hops, but overly malty and lasting, offensive sourness at the finish. Not very good.

Draught. Thick off white head that laced the glass. Appealing malty, brown sugar and flowery hop aroma. Buttery caramel, brown sugar and citrus hop flavors are well balanced. Mild hop bitterness. Smooth finish wit the hoppiness creeping up the palate into the nose. Very good.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2007 Bottle. Amber with a medium head. Aroma of bittersweet Cascade hops. Flavors of more of the cascade hops, but not overly bitter. Very well balanced and extremely drinkable. Way to go Doggie Style. I always knew I liked ya.

On draught. Golden, almost amber, with a foamy white head. Hops present in the aroma were not overpowering. Easy drinking for an APA since it seems the hops have been reverse-Lagassied (i.e. kicked down a notch). Some malt sweetness to match the some-hop bitterness. Probably not a bad beginner brew for someone new to the style.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a large dissipating off-white head. This bottle is approx. a year old and the aroma of hops, caramel and sweet malt still smells fresh. Flavour has a nice balanced blend of hops and malt -- I usually prefer my Ales hoppier then this but this just tastes really good. A really good session beer.

12 oz bottle from a mixed 12 pack. 200A05 printed on the lower corner of the label. july 31 05 I assume.
Pours out clear amber bordering on caramel in color, with a thick two finger head you could almost float a quarter on. Looks promising.
Aroma is light caramel and grapefruit.
Flavor is sort of bland, a little caramel and some citrus zest.
ok
