COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dry Hopped with a load of Cascade hops grown in the Pacific Northwest. Doggie Style has enough hop character to satisfy hop-heads, but isn’t overpoweringly hoppy. It’s brilliant amber-copper color and pleasant malt flavor comes from the addition of Carastan malts.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2008 honestly, this beer shocked the gonzo right out of me. solid pale ale goodness delivered on a balanced bed of malts and hops. small expectation met with big flavor. deep reddish haze topped with crisp white cap. strands of carbonation bubbles whisped and curled in constant ascension. aroma speaks of malts tinged with toffee and post-dinner english tea sweetness. flavors range from caramel to butter, from bread to grass, from tart to sweet tang. this is a good beer. a very good beer. i’m imaging this beer with a charred cheeseburger, or poured into a perfect batch of beer bread. doggie style classic pale ale takes top spot in the flying dog line-up. consider this pale ale as standard as sam adams lager.

Draught at the Wildeman, Amsterdam on 20th March 2009. Pale gold with foamy white head. Exquisitely hoppy and dry throughout, with the malt flavours in the first kick. Long dry finish. Well looked-after at the Amsterdam pub. Recommended.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2012 Clear red body with solid head. Loads of hops and yeast. Herbs, leaves and hint of alcohol; very rich. Good bitterness, very little sweetness. Hops are very apparent in aftertaste as well. Interesting drink. (33cl bottle) (Rating re-indexed)

10/I/2012 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Canal’s Liquors (Mt. Ephraim, NJ) @ home - BB: not indicated (2012-21)

Little cloudy amber coloured beer, nice white creamy head, unstable, adhesive with nice lacing. Aroma: very fruity, lots of ripe mango, some passion fruits, plums, dried fruits. MF: soft but ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, some citrus, peaches, slightly bitter, pineapple as well. Aftertaste: bitter yet fruity. Me gusta!

Muted amber color. Grassy hops and slight, round malts. Yeasty and easy. Pretty good pale ale.

Taste like an average IPA. Everything is there the fruitiness, bitterness, and hops. If I had to I would by this over Sierra Nevada. But a good IPA.

355ml Bottle from Vino Wines, Edinburgh:
Hoppy and with some good, sweet malts and a sort of biscuit malt aroma. There is a few citrus and floral notes coming through as well and this is backed up by some lighter caramel and some sweet but light malts.
Bright orange with a large, three centimetre tall head that is a creamy white colour and looks quite foamy, holding pretty well.
Sweet caramel malts and the floral hops that strike you first. There is some pine hops too but these are more subdued and I could detect some citrus, more caramel and a mild, fruit flavour with some sugar towards the end along with some bitterness.
Medium bodied although on the lighter side of medium and with a nice smooth, bitter feel to the beer that is rounded off with a light citrus tang. The carbonation is moderate and it goes down great, really hitting the spot and it was pretty refreshing too.

Wonderfully balanced with malts and hops both featuring, a nice smooth and refreshing feel to it and a great smell that is backed up by the taste. One of the best I’ve had from an American brewery I think, particularly from the relatively lower abv. ones.

On tap in Dundee, Scotland! This beer really caught me by surprise, was not expecting to see it on tap at all! For that alone this beer deserves good points! Lovely amber body, yellowed head, bready/fruity aroma, fruit explosion taste... just an amazing taste! Top rated beer, my first from this brewery, they have been on my wishlist for a while!

First beer I reach for on a Friday. Just the ticket. Not too heavy. Smooth, refreshing, wonderful malty flavour. Super rich colour. Usually gone in sixty seconds or so.

Surprisingly good given how section 8 the label is, this stuff’s definetly worth a purchase.
