zappafan99 (182), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA May 4, 2008 Updated: Jul 4, 2008 This pale ale has a sour malt with hops flavor. The hops has a fruity-soap taste. Average head. Won’t purchase again, the competition is better at the same price.
PattyBoy (287), North Liberty, Iowa, USA Jul 1, 2008 Poured copper orange, off-white head. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, grapefruit. Finish is dry and bitter. Solid. checkmatei1 (198), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 30, 2008 Bottle: Poured a dark orange color with a white head. The aroma was sweet, flowery, and somewhat citrus. The flavor was lightly hopped flowers with maybe a hint of fruit. A very good pale ale. Jukkabro (2298), Tampere, Finland Jun 29, 2008 (BBE 3/08). Dark coppery colored with huge yellow head. Sweet and fruity, caramelly aroma with some hops, chocolate also present. Medium bodied. Flavor is more hopped with flowers and lemon, fine caramelly chocolate also present. Aftertaste turns to dry one with chocolate still present. LilBeerDoctor (241), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange/brown with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, flowery hops. Flavor of crisp apples, bitter flowery hops. This is an APA bordering on an amber ale- lots of malt with flowery hops. Maybe it’s nothing super special, but I really enjoyed it and would certainly have this beer again. fredandboboflo (261), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Aroma perfumy (hops), caramel malt, sweet toffee. Flavor dominated by malt, some hop bitterness. Little more than boring.
