COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dry Hopped with a load of Cascade hops grown in the Pacific Northwest. Doggie Style has enough hop character to satisfy hop-heads, but isn’t overpoweringly hoppy. It’s brilliant amber-copper color and pleasant malt flavor comes from the addition of Carastan malts.

Bottle 355ml. Poured hazy amber with a good sized, sticky, off-white head which lasted very well. A fruity hop aroma with caramel malts, overripe nectarines, orange citrus, passionfruit and canned pineapple rings. Flavor was a mild fruity hop bitterness with dry biscuity malts, caramel, passionfruit, grapefruit, apricots and a dry finish. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry hoppy mouthfeel, watery texture and a good length finish.

Aroma has some citrus and hops and is very fresh and crisp. Pours golden with a medium white head. Taste is fresh with hops, citrus and a bit of grass. Palate is stray and nice. Overall a nice surprise. Hoppy and fresh yet very drinkable.

Typical APA with thinnish but sticky, off-white head and clear, pure amber colour. Aroma of lemon peel, walnuts, green apple, orange, hemp seed, pecan nuts, grass, tonic water; dry fruity onset, peachy, with a smooth and agreeable caramelly and nutty malt backbone, finish of grapefruit peel- en grassy hop bitterness, medium long but more subdued than in an IPA. In all, a well-balanced, nicely perfumey and very enjoyable beer.

Sampled from a bottle purchased at Fortnum & Mason ("the Queen’s Grocer"....). Slightly hazy amber/copper colour, with a white head. Excellent malty flavour which is rich and full. Good top notes of citrus, especially orange, and muscat grapes. This is a beautifully balanced American Pale Ale, much better than some of the astringent, overly-hopped beers one sometimes finds in this style. A really beautiful, well-made and highly drinkable beer.

Bottle 35.5cl. Clear medium amber, small frothy white head, recedes after a while to a srteady layer, good lacing; aroma grapefruit, yeast, lemon, pine; taste medium bitter and sweet, fruity; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste medium bitter, slightly sweet, herbal notes, bit woody; overall a well-balanced APA, a good example of the style.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2014 Awesome bitterness with a decent body to support the beers major purpose: tasting like one of the characteristic pale ales should.
