tasting at keg and barrel 12 oct 08: color was brown with little to no head. Smell was of faint caramel and taste was kinda bland. Very sweet.

bottle, dark amber pour with slight head, a very nice marzen with good caramel and malt and not too watery as some can be, finish is medium

Fair rusty brown color. Faint cereal aromas, but hardly anything on the nose. Sweet front end of the palate with a woody, wet finish. Flavors are outdoorsy -- toast and a slight bitterness. Not rich, as promised, but malty and muddled.

Hazy brown pour, slight dissipating off white head. toasted caramel malty aroma, some raisin, sticky sweet. Malty caramel mouthful a little bit of alcohol and bread at the end. A little unbalanced, too heavy on the sweet malt at first then thin mouthfeel at the finish

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Quickly dissipating tan head. Honey aromas. Dark caramel upfront with a lasting sweet honey finish.

A bit of caramel on this nose. Pours a clear dark amber. Medium carbonation. Nicely balanced with an amply bready finish. Well crafted but has no outstanding qualities. A fine autumn session brew.

crystal clear amber with a decent disappearing off white head. bready caramel aroma. weak bready flavor. there is a bit of caramel sweetness and bitterness but it is very dull. finish sweet caramel bread little bitterness. medium body. moderate carbonation. not horrible but not worth trying again.
