Dogtoberfest is a unique beer containing five premium malts. This lager draws its influence from the Vienna Marzen or Oktoberfest style. It is rich and malty with a sweet aroma and deep mahogany color.

Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium amber brown with a large (2-3 fingers) rocky light tan head that lasted a little while leaving behind some puddled residue floating on top thus producing excellent lacing that really stuck to the glass. The aroma was strong of a toasted biscuit malt, a nice piney hop and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and dried dark fruit. It tasted malty-sweet with a hint of caramel at first and mildly bitter from the hops at the finish with a touch of dried fruit at the end with the flavor lasting a really nice long time after the swallow. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and a little dry in texture with a nice soft carbonation. Overall a very impressive brew for this style, a perfect blending of flavors with a nice mild hop finish.

16oz stein at Pizza Paradiso Georgetown pours a mostly clear, copper amber with some creamy, white head. Nose is standard, malty, some yeasty dough, cracker, a little fall fruit, mild golden raisin. Flavor is the same, malty sweet, biscuit, a little bread, some orange too, a little dried apple. Crisp finish. Solid representation.

Malty aromas and a sweet malty flavour, not my kind of beer at all. Tastes too macro for me.

Aroma: grain and cereal malts. Appearance: clear, hazy brown, massive, beige, creamy head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: bread and caramel malts. Overall: OK, Maerzen, but nothing to write home about. Pint at Big Brew, Morristown.

Clear Amber color with a white head that stays intact. A standard lager that isn’t very exciting.

"better than i expected from this brewery. nice interplay between the caramel malt flavors and the floral hops. a little more likvely than i expect in the style with little of the harshness that makes me shy from flying dog."

Bottle. Pours an amber color with white head. Bread, caramel, malts aromas. Caramel, toast, slight goopy flavors. Alright.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, copper colour. Tiny halo of white. Brown sugar and red fruit sweetness. Some spice. Hint of vanilla. Taste is fusty sweet to start. Lots of paper dryness. Palate is a little astringent. Finishes light dry, with some bitterness.
