UPDATED: JUN 12, 2009 2009-04-11, draught at Christian Firtal, Odense, 8-5-8-5-16=42 Red-amber color; creamy head. Fruiy hop aroma, and sugary sweet caramel. Strong moufeel, full bodied, with very strong toffee and caramel flavor, extreme hopping, oily, resiny, and a bit fruity. Very strong final, with some sweet toffee too, and warming alcohol. A cake double IPA. Very good.
2007-08-19, bottle, vintage 2007; 85 IBU, 8-5-8-4-16=41 Cloudy amber color; huge creamy head. Wonderful hoppy aroma, citrusy, with pine needles; then comes the malt and caramel sweetness. Very good toffee aroma, good balance between the sweet and the bitter, the hop brings in dry resins; at the end, the body gets thinner, the malt flavor vanishes. Very good.
