COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

From a bottle. Hazy gold with frothy white head. Lots of citrus and pine resin hop aroma. This is balanced with some raisin and caramel sweetness, substantial alcohol presence on the back end, some bitterness on the finish... I can see why it did well in Beer madness last year... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear light copper pour with a creamy light beige head, pine and malt aroma, taste has bitter grapefruit, sweet caramel, pine, some tangerine, some dark fruits the ABV is quite in your face and a bit harsh.

Bottle. Pours orange, some copper/red with a fairly thin yet very persistent off white head, some lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, some sweetness, a little red berries (cherry?). Big mouthfeel, flavor heavy pine and citrus, late flavor is sweet with quite a bit of alcohol but a resinous bitterness loners with it quite pleasantly.

Wow. Bottle to tulip glass. Pours a copper, amber red with a 3 finger head that hangs on. Lots of hop notes up front, and a birrage of hop flavor on taste. Really heavy mouthfeel. Delicious!

Bottle thanks to trade with mikericm! Pours a slightly hazy copper with fluffy khaki head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of strong caramel malts and raisins with a hint of oxidation, hops have all fallen off. Taste follows, lots of big caramel malts, dark fruits, sweet booze and burnt sugar. Booze is there, but not too much, just a slight burn on the way down then your drunk. Decent for what it is, would like to try it fresh.

Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a nice creamy head. Has strong lacing and smells of spices and slightly sweet. Tastes of spices and bittering hops. A very good DIPA!

Alengrin (1801) - BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2014
Very American double IPA with moussy, snow white head and warm orange blonde colour. Aroma strongly perfumed with lemon peel, raisins, pine needles, bitter honey, mint, grapefruit, lemon grass, tonic water; unusually intense taste, beginning with grape- and lemon-iike fruitiness, bitter honey, smooth, but then totally overpowered by an almost corrosive, peppery and citrussy, very challenging and extremely long hop bitterness, drying mouth, throat and inspiration alike. Only for the brave-hearted.
