COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

Pours clear, copper color, thick white foam, caramel malt aroma, taste is hoppy, dried herbs, mild cinnamon, mildly bitter finish that lingers... the high alcohol is hidden at first but comes out after a few gulps....

330ml bottle poured in a chalice A: Beautiful orange to red color with some particles floating around. A yellow creamy small head which dissipates quickly leaving quite a lot of lacings S: Flowery hops on the nose. Citrus, pine and pineapple. Quite skunky too. Alcohol is quite imperceptible to the high ABV T: Fresh hops, basically. Very malty too. Honey and pineapple. Sweet caramel upfront followed by a dry hoppy bitter end. Extremely bitter, it’s a 85 IBU and I would give it 100, I mean, delicious :) M: Creamy heavy body. Molasses. Medium carbonation. Delicious bitter aftertaste O: Delicious beer. Good drinkability. Go for this one if you like a good and bitter American IIPA [ BA Review @ 2/27/2010 ]

amber color; citrusy hop aroma; a strong, bitter, citrusy hoppy flavor, yet fairly well balanced; fairly easy drinking for an 11.5% abv ale

Aber with a small head, low carbo. Aroma has vaguely some hops, somewhat soapy. Alcoholic taste, ipa -like but the acohol is way far too dominant. A bit over the top.

"double dog - i knew it had a good rep, so not a total surprise, but one of the top 2-3 beers from this brewer, easy. nice thick body and manages a malt-hop balance (sweet malt and citrus) while still being adequately hoppy on it’s own. nice brew."

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear light copper pour with a creamy light beige head, pine and malt aroma, taste has bitter grapefruit, sweet caramel, pine, some tangerine, some dark fruits the ABV is quite in your face and a bit harsh.

Bottle. Pours orange, some copper/red with a fairly thin yet very persistent off white head, some lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, some sweetness, a little red berries (cherry?). Big mouthfeel, flavor heavy pine and citrus, late flavor is sweet with quite a bit of alcohol but a resinous bitterness loners with it quite pleasantly.

Wow. Bottle to tulip glass. Pours a copper, amber red with a 3 finger head that hangs on. Lots of hop notes up front, and a birrage of hop flavor on taste. Really heavy mouthfeel. Delicious!

Lots of pungent citrus and fresh hops. Pours orange with decent head and lacing. Some sweet candy and a lot of hops. Bittersweet finish. Cask at pizzeria paradiso.

Bottle thanks to trade with mikericm! Pours a slightly hazy copper with fluffy khaki head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of strong caramel malts and raisins with a hint of oxidation, hops have all fallen off. Taste follows, lots of big caramel malts, dark fruits, sweet booze and burnt sugar. Booze is there, but not too much, just a slight burn on the way down then your drunk. Decent for what it is, would like to try it fresh.
