Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

Pours clear, copper color, thick white foam, caramel malt aroma, taste is hoppy, dried herbs, mild cinnamon, mildly bitter finish that lingers... the high alcohol is hidden at first but comes out after a few gulps....

Six pack from Hot Rods. Alcohol, raisin, and some hop notes. Big ABV. Not bad but better beers than this.

Too much. This beer is great for getting drunk ... Citrusy, crazy hops and crazy malt. I like IPAs but I am not a fan of this beer. Too much ... Everything!

Bottle - Amber colour, creamy off-white head with good retention and lacing. Intense hoppy nose with lemon zest, pine and some sweet malt. Taste is sweet and rich maltiness, some caramel, biscuit, grapefruit, tangerine with resinous notes. Medium to full body, average carbonation, slick texture, decent hop bitterness lingers long in the aftertaste. Excellent IIPA, a must try.

Hot! The aroma has hints of floral hops and caramel malts. The flavor is all booze with late hints at dry floral hoppiness. Skip this

Amber with slim white head. Rich aroma of caramel, malts, citrus hops, some dark fruits. Impressive taste of similar elements, full bodied, some alcohol warmth, but quite well hid. Nicely balanced, nice stuff.

Pretty solid. Bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours dark orange with lots of foamy head and tons of lacing. Nose is sweet and juicy. Flavours of peach, earthy bitterness, syrup. Taste big bitter medium sweet. Full body, agressively bitter and a big alcohol burn to the finish. This is an agressive beer for sure.

Copper pour. Nose of orange, grapefruit, sticky malt and light booze. Flavor is citrus bitterness, more orange and grapefruit, with light booze and toasted malt. Thick. Really nice double IPA from a solid brewery.

Bottle pours amber into the tulip glass, quite clear. Half inch head after an aggressive pour rapidly dissipated with almost no residual lace on the glass. Slight hop aroma, quite bitter with no alcohol afterbite, but still too cold. Waiting for it to warm up so malts can emerge. Orangey citrus emerges as it warms, still very bitter, yet again no alcohol burn. More aromas, malty scents emerging as it warms, pervasive bitter flavor. Bitterness slightly less overpowering as it warms yet further. Impressive balance for a beer this strong. Overall harmony, proceed responsibly, a dangerous brew!

pours clear copper with a thick beige head. aroma is floral and pine. Resinous mouth feel. bitter throughout, doesn’t really have that initial brightness I like. no real citrus, more nondeScript fruit. Long bitter finish. A little boozy, but good.
