RomanW70 (284), Providence, Rhode Island, USA May 10, 2008 Pours dark amber with a small tan head that disappears to a ring. Strong aroma of sweet malts, with some noticeable hops. Taste cloyingly sweet with a huge malt backbone and huge bitterness at the finish. i would like to see more citrus and pine notes. Full mouthfeel. Has some nice components, but not really one of my favorite DIPA’s.
Beerman6686 (567), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Pours a pretty clear dark amber color with a small off white head. Aroma was loads of hops, fruity, and very sweet aroma. Flavor was loaded with hops also but only to balance out the extreme sweetness. Very good. tarjei (1064), Bryne, Norway Jul 26, 2008 355 ml bottle in Copenhagen. Abv is 11,5%. Clear brown color, fine white head. Aroma is very hoppy, also sweet and fruity. Flavor is very hoppy, very bitter, very sweet - maybe too sweet. Some spices makes it rounder and more complex. dkachur (643), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 26, 2008 Draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville. Slightly cloudy bronze pour with a medium, creamy head. Pine resin hop aroma with a nice sweet, honey background. Taste is very much the same except for a more pronounced vegetal note. Sticky mouthfeel. RSRIZZO (957), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 26, 2008 (12 oz. Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) Aroma is malty with a bold hop scent in the back. Color is a deep rich hazy amber with good carbonation and a thin but tight head. Taste is big sweet and malty. Starting with a full body it goes down rich. Finish comes out sweet with a caramel malt taste and a gentle hop flavor. After taste is a little lbitter but it goes well with the sweet body. This is a great brew Furseth (1091), Kungälv, Sweden Jul 23, 2008 Bottle: Hazy red colour, with a nice head. Aroma of hay, caramel, flowery, citrus. Flavor citrus, and lots of hops, as a flowery mouth feeling, reminds me of an IPA. Medium caramely body, and medium fruirt fnish. Nice beer!
