COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Dog Double Pale Ale Back by popular demand, our original "Wild Dog Release" is back, and this time it’s for good. Double Dog Double Pale Ale is a generously hopped ale with a deep red color and pours with a nice frothy head. The abundance of hops will conjure some provocative aromas with hints of raisins and citrus.

too sweet, almost had mead like qualities, the nose was excellent and got me bracing for some hops which did not materialize in the fashion expected - one might say all bark and no bite? It was more like a barley wine. This brew is not quite sure what kennel to be in. It was interesting and the best speciman from this brewer I have had

Sweet hops and malt aroma. Amber color and frothy white head. Heavy bitter start with a hoppy tongue covering darkness.

smells really nice but this beer smells and looks MEAN. And? It IS....The small uneven head dissipates quickly, two pulls on the glass and It’s obvious from the lacing this is high octane stuff. The taste is really almost into IIPA territory yet hangs back a bit. The DELICIOUS malts used in this beer then un-sheath their swords. Yikes. The hops are mid-palate and very cool. The bitterness never trying to spar with those deadly delicious malts. This is a damn good beer and seems to me to be almost of a style all It’s own.

Pours copper color, lively and transparent. Head is minimal, vanishes into a very thin film, lacing is good. Aroma is very rich: caramel, pine, resin and honey; very stylish and amazingly balanced. Mouthfeel is oily. Alcohol is nicely present and warm. finish is very well balanced, mainly bitter but with a nice sweet hint. Taste is amazingly complex and well balanced: hints of caramel and fruits. Starts bitter and evolves smoothly sweet. Alcohol is strong but very well integrated.

Had this on tap, expected it to be an IPA of sorts and had to google this one when I was half done by the end of this beer. Flavor was excellent, alcohol masked. Poured an amber color, decent/low carbonation and clear. Thought it smelled floral and citrusy, and tasted same with malts. This is like a very heavy IPA. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy am er with stable off-white head. Distinct aroma pf hops. Ditto taste, with subtle grassy notes. Dry aftertaste. A nice thing, i deed, though more like an APA than an ASA.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Beautiful looking beer poured dark amber, clear with a huge foamy off white head, tons of lacing. Aroma is mostly caramel malts and hops with some citrus notes. Taste is nice bitter hoppy, some malts and some fruit; you can taste the alcohol but is not overpowering is actually well balanced and drinkable which is hard to believe given the high ABV. Very Nice beer.

Bottle. Orange-copper in color. Clear. Surprisingly clean, slightly hoppy aroma. Quite strong and hoppy. Very good.

Best before July 18, 2013.
Appearance: Clear amber body with sparse carbonation. The head is tall and creamy with good retention, settling into a messy ring and light coating.
Aroma: Sweet malts and citrus are on the nose, perhaps some grapefruit and floral notes.
Taste: This is more like a barleywine. This is malty with a moderate grapefruit bite with floral overtones.
Palate: Medium to thick with light to medium carbonation.
Overall: This is a solid imperial IPA, or whatever they want to call this. It hides the alcohol well and drinks nicely.

Decent aroma with a heavy flavor and a heavy aftertaste. Long aftertaste. Perfectly okay beer.
