(Bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/augusta/lou’s-beverage-barn/4790.htm target=blank>Lou’s Beverage Barn) Really pretty weak...Pours clear bright slightly reddish gold-amber. Thin white head melts away to edges. Aroma is kind of sweetish and fruity, maybe light hint of citrus but overall kind of non-descript. Mouthfeel is rather thin and loose, a bit prickly, a tad syrupy and sticky. Flavor is quite bland but I pulled out some hints of light peach/citrus and perhaps bread - really only slightly more flavorful than your average pale lager. Very poor example of a biere de garde. Pass.

Jul 21, 2008 Pours golden with small white head. Aroma is slight flowers and yeast. Flavor is a sweet explosion of fruity flavors subsiding into a sweet malty backbone. Not overly pronounced, but interesting. Palate is a bit watery, and resembles a pilesner. Nothing outstanding here, but interesting just the same.

Jul 21, 2008 bottle poured into a shaker has a golden color and a fizzy one finger white head that fell quickly. aroma of pilsner malt, sweet floral yeast, caramel, and biscuit. mouth feel is thin with lighter carbonation. flavor has plenty of pilsner malt, corn sweetness, yeasty spice, and a very subtle touch of hops. this is alright for a summer brew.

Jul 21, 2008 Cloudy gold pour with a fizzy head. Bready malt and yeast aroma. Very light malty flavor with hints of yeast and spice. A bit watery on the palate. No big deal.
