vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Apr 1, 2008 Garde Dog pours a bright golden color with a frothy white head. Minimal lacing is left behind as the head drops. The beer makes a nice presentation. The aroma is light on the nose with yeasty malt and some light fruitiness. Toasted grains and a light hop bitterness greet the tongue. A slight spiciness is lurking in the flavor as well. The aftertaste is moderately bitter, with a bit of sweetness left behind. Mouthfeel is light with moderate carbonation.
nqualls (15), Tennessee, USA Jul 22, 2008 Pours a gold color with a HUGE white head. Flavor could use a little work. Overall I was disappointed. oteyj (275), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours golden with small white head. Aroma is slight flowers and yeast. Flavor is a sweet explosion of fruity flavors subsiding into a sweet malty backbone. Not overly pronounced, but interesting. Palate is a bit watery, and resembles a pilesner. Nothing outstanding here, but interesting just the same. blklab2007 (507), Connecticut, USA Jul 21, 2008 bottle poured into a shaker has a golden color and a fizzy one finger white head that fell quickly. aroma of pilsner malt, sweet floral yeast, caramel, and biscuit. mouth feel is thin with lighter carbonation. flavor has plenty of pilsner malt, corn sweetness, yeasty spice, and a very subtle touch of hops. this is alright for a summer brew. SuperDave70 (652), Arizona, USA Jul 21, 2008 Cloudy gold pour with a fizzy head. Bready malt and yeast aroma. Very light malty flavor with hints of yeast and spice. A bit watery on the palate.
