A cold pour emits a modest shortlived lace and no head. A beautiful golden color w/ a mild malty stonefruit aroma. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. The texture is soft and fiberous. A malty, semi sweet brew with, with...hmm. Well the bread factor is mild to NIL. This is a watered down version of what I know of this style. Theres a little grass, alcohol, caramel, wlid apple, and stonefruit. The finish is mildly bittered w/ peachpit.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6404) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 8, 2008
12oz bottle. Smells a little bit like a witbier, with some wheat, some light floral and fruity spiciness, some coriander, ginger and lemon zest. Light but not thing, very effervescent on the palate, fresh and mildly spicy with a base flavor of hefeweizen/witbier. Better than expected.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - APR 6, 2008
Pours crystal clear gold with off white head. It smells like a good pale lager (I feel a shiver down my spine realizing that I know that) with sweet sugary malts, noble hops and mild lemon zest. The taste starts the same with sweet sweet malts with floral and faint spice hops hanging just above. Then grainy malts mix with mild earthiness, some vague spices, sugar sweetness and a mild carbonation enhanced tartness. From midway to the finish it has a pleasing refreshing taste. Doesn’t seem too close to the label stated style though.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 docsteigs (373) - Texas, USA - APR 6, 2008
Well, pours clear gold w/ thin head. Smells sweet, bready. Tastes a little spicey, European. Smooth. Clean finish.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blindeyedbetty (189) - Utah, USA - APR 6, 2008
12 oz. pour. Aroma of bread, color of golden amber. I thought this was unfiltered...? Looks pretty filtered to me. Clear as a bell with little foamy white head and lots of carbonation. Very light bodied with front palate of wheat, middle is the toasty malt of which the commercial description speaks and the finish is mildly hoppy with an aftertaste of yeast. Easy to drink but even for an unseasoned palate, nothing outstanding.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 emacgee (3004) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - APR 5, 2008
Pours a clear golden brew with a one finger frothy white head. Not lookin too hot. Smells cornish, BMC, sweet, grassy, smells like a pale lager. Tastes BMC too. Doesn’t seem like they put any effort into this at all. Mouthfeel a little better than most macros. Sweet, grassy, cardboard, corn. Like I said, decent mouthfeel, feels like a thicker BMC. Completely disappointing.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 aubreya (676) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - APR 5, 2008
The color was golden. The head was creamy, thin, and white. The aroma was corn, very light grape, but lacking. The flavor was corn and feet. The palate was thin. The finish was abrupt.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of toasted malts mostly with some caramel and a slight hint of floral hops. Flavor is the similar with a decent balance of sweet malts and floral hops. Not what I was expecting with the style though.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MrBunn (2050) - Western, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 4, 2008
Bottle. Pours a golden body with lots of effervescence and a bit of a head that dies down fairly quickly Very translucent. Aromas are pilsner like... same hops peeking through a bready malt presence. Almost a bit of a bret-like funk lurking with some citrus. Flavor is different than I expected... it is fairly crisp. The spicy hops and the lemony zest keep this dog fairly lively while there is still a nice thick malt presence and a yeasty flavor that balances fairly well, but seems to fall a little short of the style.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 frylock (1081) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 2, 2008
Golden-straw color with a thin white head, pretty clear for being unfiltered. Aroma of bread dough and pilsner malts. Soft mouth feel, lightly toasted malts and a faint hop bitterness. Finishes with some grainy flavors and a hint of lemon.
